Omar Kelly, from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, says that he's heard the Washington Redskins could be the frontrunners to land QB Vince Young.

John Beck is not going to be the Redskins starter this year. The team failed to address the QB position in the NFL Draft, so we expect them to explore trades and free agency when allowed. Young is trying to resurrect his career and Mike Shanahan could give him a chance to do just that. Shanahan is very close friends with former Titans head coach Jeff Fisher and likely knows everything there is to know about the inner working of Young.

Tennessee Titans general manager Mike Reinfeldt said the team is considering re-signing QB Kerry Collins but are also looking at other possibilities that could be available once free agency begins.

This makes a lot of sense because of Collins familiarity with the team. His price may not be too high, and he would provide veteran insurance behind Jake Locker.

ARI: Not interested in QB Donovan McNabb

The Arizona Cardinals are not interested in Washington Redskins QB Donovan McNabb, who is expected to be released in the offseason.

This isn't the first time we've heard that Arizona has no interest in McNabb. Many feel they want to trade for Eagles backup QB Kevin Kolb, and have a 'plan B' to trade for Kyle Orton if a deal for Kolb can't be made.

Yea, I wouldn't take VY or Collins if they offered to work for free. I still think McNabb could be a good mentor for Cam for a year (or more if he's willing to take the back seat after the first year) despite playing in a WCO in the pros. As people have already said, just having someone for Cam to relate to as a mentor could be a huge help. McNabb heard the same boos on draft day and heard the same questions about his ability to transition to the pros. And as far as I know McNabb has always kept his nose clean, so he could be a positive influence in that respect also.

No way Vince comes here. Kerry Collins would be a good choice, except for his history here. Mcnabb is the only realistic potential member on that list. And I wonder if he would go to a team that finished last in the league. I would bet he wants to go to a legit contender if he has a choice.

GOT to disagree. Rex Grossman is a free agent and will want or demand to start and will win at most 4 games, with Young they will be in more games, plus, maybe they can trade Haynesworth for Young first. the point is, Vince Young needs Washington and Washington could use him, if nothing more than a stop gap player for a year. Grossman and Beck arent good stop gap players, they are not going to sell tickets either, people wont even want to come to the games.

McNabb wants to go to a team where he can win.

Young is garbage. (coach killer) A least Grossman has played in a Super bowl and isn't a headcase. I believe Washington will go with someone like Beck so they can maybe have a shot at Luck. But bringing it Young is out of the question. Young is NOT bringing in anymore ticket sells in DC.

And McNabb and Kolb aren't comparable. McNabb is a good QB who has proven himself, Kolb isn't. Even Matt Cassel actually did something to fool everyone into hyping up his FA status/trade stock. Kolb was so-so in 4 or 5 starts. Cassel did reasonably well (in an awesome offense) for 15 starts. The Kolb hype is insane.

you GOT to be kidding. At least Grossman played in a Super Bowl!!!!!??? Why not bring in Dilfer to backup while they are at it!!!?? Sorry, but Grossman is garbage. he's a turnover machine. i want Young just for the one year stop gap type of QB.

And you know what will happen when they go with someone like Beck???? they lose ALOT of games and Shanahan is fired, which means, he cost himself a job trying to get Luck, yeah, sounds like a BAD move there. Costing yourself a job just to get a franchise QB.

But bringing it Young is out of the question. Young is NOT bringing in anymore ticket sells in DC.

Young would bring in ticket sales to people who like him and he would at least make the Redskins a little bit more serious. With Beck they win at most 4 games. in other words, they win 2 games. Beck was a 3rd string QB for a reason.

      Honestly, it wasn't on him last game. There are many other reasons that come before Bryce. Dave Canales is really starting to worry me. I mean there are glaring issues that can't be excused. I said back when the whole Rico/Chubba thing happened. I said right then that you cannot have a coach that handled those 4 or 5 games the way he did. I get it, most thought that he was trying to throw games, which was not wrong thinking because of how bad it was. The decisions right before half. The strict "Chubba gets this drive and Rico gets the next." It's seeming like a lot of our backups are the better talent, so he cant evaluate talent. Not calling a quarterback sneak because of size. Small quarterback have a different type of advantage, just not as good as a large quarterback, but still doable. Then he doesn't even explain why he didn't put Dalton in there (saying it would give away a quarterback sneak is...just stop). I honestly think he forgot about putting in Dalton. There are so many others that I'd have to re-watch the games to remember.  I could make a whole other post on that defensive game plan...absolutely awful. And a quick petition...see the quote above, can we please ban these weirdos and try to clean this place up. This is peak reddit right here and these losers will destroy the board. I couldn't make it though 3 pages because these morons post more than anyone else. These are the perpetual online freaking weirdos banned from getting too close to schools reddit mod types.
