When you pay for someone to come to your school, they aren't competing.

where's the proof that he was paid to play at Auburn? here's a clue. there isn't any. how many times does the NCAA have to say this before it will sink in.

Well in all fairness Newton is bigger, stronger, and flat out better then Clausen. If things broke down and Clausen couldn't find anybody he was sacked at least Newton can take off and gain some yards as opposed to losing yards and putting us in a bigger hole. Plus the vets I have heard about bringing in where like Marc Bulger who didn't play at all last year and in the 3 years prior has 22 Td's and 34 int's in 35 starts. I just think you bring in someone like him to mentor and help the young guys become better and not really to start.

It's like you learned as a kid, if you play with fire eventually you'll get burned.

Finally a glimmer of hope, us fans need something to look forward to, something to cheer about. I really hope Cam shows progress, get's inspired and feeds off of it like fire and grows quickly. Let's get the pride back, be proud to root for the Carolina Panthers again.

This sounds great right here so all the Cam haters can toss the JaMarcus Russel comparisons right out the window withthis report. Cant wait to see Cam on the field. i think he is going to make us a competitor again. I wouldnt be surpised not one bit if we were in the playoffs THIS season.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
