I wouldn't be surprised if Moore shows up. I bet they welcome anyone who wants to workout.

Sure thang mang, I would think he would be counted on as the only veteran that can help under center. I hope he shows for the rest of the team's sake but Im sure theyll get on with or without him just fine.

Good news, the sooner and longer they are building chemistry together the better. I tend to think it would show a lot about :cam:'s character if he made the effort to be present.

At the time, if he and his coaches feel it is more beneficial for his development to stay training in Florida, then I support this as well. He will do whatever is in his best interest and should have our support as fans.

Here's a thought how about Gettis and LaFell take a trip to Cams place and work out with hum? The only thing with that is that they would be showing favoritism towards Cam and not Clausen.

...........and the rookies?
i'm sure they'll b e a part of it. best thing for them all is for the rookies to be there, imo. the more the better.

lets get all these guys on the same page (as much as they can be).

i don't know if they would have to pay to be part of IMG's training. not sure if they let people walk in off the street (which is essentially what they would be doing).

i agree it would be good for newton to get working with his WRs, though.

Completely forgot about IMG. Still would've been nice to see them work together.

I would rather Newton spend the bulk of his time getting proper quarterback training down at IMG. At this point in time I feel like that is more valuable to him than working out with the team. Ideally he could go to either the first few or last few days of the players workout then go back to Florida

After all the work/money IMG is putting into Cam Newton you think there is a chance in hell he would be there? He would be f#$(( stupid to go out there and risk being injured. He would be much better served to keep working on playbook etc anyway.

the amount of time he's putting in at IMG, he could afford to miss a couple weeks of it working with the team...esp. if it is filmed and reviewed as part of his IMG training. half of learning is applying and there is no better place for him to apply it than with his team.

again, this would go a long way with getting the players on board with him they should be impressed with his grasp of the playbook. better for cam and the team as a whole for him to be there for those workouts.

like i said, he can take what he's learned so far to it, see how much is retained and what he needs to work on more, and then go back to IMG and work on it.

How are they going to be impressed with his grasp of the playbook when no one else knows it?

i'm not sure IMG is putting any money into newton. he's paying them.

and the risk of getting injured isn't any worse one place over the other. it's not like he won't be wearing a red jersey.

    • Not many are talking about this player. He played well as a rookie last year. If he refines his blocking, continues studying film, and keeps working hard, I can see him being the next Greg Olsen. I’m expecting 55 catches, 700 yards, 4 TDs this season.
    • I'm not a Bryce hater and I would 100% move on.  Especially looking at how the upcoming qb draft looks on paper.  Hopefully he continues to improve but if in 3 seasons you're still chasing average season numbers then he's not going to be the guy.  You've just got to keep taking swings until you hit.  Average qbs without any elite physical traits cant get it done anymore.  So this year Hopefully he continues to develop and is above average statistically.
    • Meltdowns???? He was pulled by Canales because he wasn't executing the game plan after 2 games into the season so he could watch Dalton execute the offense and show Bryce the windows available in the NFL, how to push the ball down the field and how to step up and move around when blitzed. When Young came back 5 games later he clearly watched and improved. Enough he was named the future starter. He doesn't have a history of  meltdowns nor is there any reason to assume he will have one. From what I have read he is mentally strong and emotional stable. He may have bad games down the road, everyone does. But this is all a learning experience for him and so far he seems to be making progress. I can understand being hesitant on anything Panthers, but Young has surprisingly been able to gain his confidence after a disastrous start. You aren't alone in being cautious but I think he is the future. I thought he was too small and too short to succeed in the NFL. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised last year and am optimistic about the offense for the first time since Wilks and Dalton were decent.
