ESPN Has No Love For the Panthers

If you log onto ESPN Page 2 right now they have the a poll titled "Which team should be relegated to a lower league"

The choices are

  • Minnesota Timberwolves
  • Houston Astros
  • Edmonton Oilers
  • CAROLINA PANTHERS

There is no way we are in the same league as the failures that are listed in this. And to add insult to injury we are in second place with 32%

we're 2-14 people have an easy reason to take dump on us it comes with the territory.

We haven't had problems selling out games and we've been way more competitive than franchises like the lions, bengals, etc. We're not that horrible. It's just a dumb poll. Get over it.

It's the last place team from every league which is what we were last season. We are most definitely in the same league as those teams as we all fulfilled the criteria of being the crappiest team in our respective sport.

Page 2 is pretty funny. I listen to the podcast a lot because I want to be up to date on all things macho.

I'm talking about over the years. A team getting demoted would take years to build up enough suckage. We haven't done that. 2 nfc championship games and a Superbowl appearance over the last decade at least makes us relevant. The fact that the fans still care enough to sell out games makes us stable. Our owner is very well known and established in the leauge. The only thing stupider than the poll is getting upset about it.

    • Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired. Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain. In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.
    • Don't let me gas him up too much, but I hear this and that...... I seen a wide body man with a quick burst, that's able to shed blocks and if extends his long arms its over. He tore up the OL in the senior, you seen about 10 plays and the dog walking OLman. There's other plays of him doing the same, just have to deal with fetus talking over the plays. Plus there's this-  https://x.com/PFF_College/status/2018385471068332410?lang=en     I hope he's ready, cause Id like to see him starting and doing his thang with dbrown, nic, and Phillips.
    • I mean there is relevance to that. But I think much of it has to do with the fact that he is clearly likeable. But does that translate to a coach taking his position to the next level like those that have had staying power for many years like Spoelstra? And not for nothing but does how much someone is liked even matter? Across leagues with the Panthers Ron Rivera and Marty Hurney were universally well liked by players. Dave Canales is very well liked. I say you are what your record says. And the record says you got your ass handed to you by a fellow expansion team in the Magic in a game that was over at halftime and that same team went toe to toe with our nemesis who has been handing us L's for over a year now. And if Bam doesn't get his leg swept by LaMelo do we even get past the Heat? Again. It just all boils down to personal standards. I think newer and younger fans will love this. I just want to actually win a real playoff game fam 🤷‍♂️
