Denver media looking at Williams

really can't imagine anyone really "wanting" to play in denver. air's too thin.

anyway...thread title said it all. "Denver MEDIA looking at Williams"

even if the broncos were looking at him, williams isn't going to be leaving any time soon.

I'm talking in general I know it's really a different topic but many broncos fans have deangelo as their starting rb and the reason they give for us not resigning him isn't the typical JR is cheap excuse but "who wants to play for that bad of a team" um lolwat to the team that picked 2nd overall

Rant done :)

williams is worth more than a 5th rounder

He is trolling. No way someone can think that a pro bowl player is only worth a 5th round pick. Nothing against Lawrence Wilson, but that is who we grabbed 5th round last year. Let me see, pro bowl running back or Lawrence Wilson - you have to be kidding. Plus, less than 10% of 5th round picks ever become starters in NFL. Top tier running backs don't cost that much money compared to other positions.

williams is worth more than a 5th rounder

The question is what is Williams + his contract worth. Williams was worth a whole lot more on a rookie deal than he will be once he signs his next contract.

Plus I think that the compensatory pick might be a 3rd rounder (assuming comp picks are still awarded with the new CBA).

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
