Carolina Panthers NOT interested in Hard Knocks HBO series

The Carolina Panthers are highly unlikely to consent to Hard Knocks chronicling the inaugural training camp of rookie quarterback Cam Newton and rookie coach Ron Rivera.

According to the Charlotte Observer, a team official said it's not something the team is interested in doing.

The team hasn't been contacted by HBO, though, so it's not like the opportunity is really there.

Other teams not interested in appearing on the popular reality series, the Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

OMG! I'm so shocked! Maybe SMOKESCREEN?! Ryan Kalil IS A TROLL I tell you! Why the Panthers wouldn't do something to excite the fan base!

I feel like a big bird with eyes going large!@ and a FAIL PIC all wrapped in one.

We dont really need any distraction and HBO just trying to make Thomas Davis name all his kids and poo watch them FOLLOW FOX and the Donkeys now lol

God forbid they do something to create more interest in the team. Worked out poorly for the Jets.... sigh
don't want my favorite team to be some reality tv show joke.

will it make them any worse? nope (well, maybe). won't make them any better either.

if this team wants recognition it's going to get it from winning. not being on some stupid reality tv show.

those stupid reality shows thrive on drama and will do what it takes to create it among the players or blow things out of proportion. panthers don't need that.

if it was just a documentary i'd be a lot more interested, but hard knocks isn't that. it's garbage tv.

anyway...what makes anyone think that these players who locked out the media would want anything to do with that show?

i do think that this team will be more open or at least more informative than it was with john "talk for 5 minutes and say nothing" fox, but it won't go out like a bunch of attention whores trying to get noticed.

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone and we have Taylor Moton inked to a recent extension. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
