I personally do not care if Gant is supposed to cover the Panthers or not... The fact of the matter is he has been the Most Reliable source of inside info for years. I respect him and hope he continues doing what he's been doing for years.

With that said... I do not think there is any way in hell that DeAngelo walks... No way!

I will be highly pissed off if we let him go. Probably the most mad I will have ever been at the FO... That would just be a DUMB move...

but in all seriousness, I highly doubt there has been any decision either way. It's unlikely Jimmy starts but until we get to camp, anything is still a possibility... even Matt Moore. ;) Rivera is going to put the player that gives him the best chance to win games on the field this year, because he knows there is value on the bench as well if a player isn't ready.

If MM is back (which he should be), I'm sure there will be a legitimate competition for the starting spot between he and Cam. Cam is the future of the franchise, and I hope he has success early, but I think MM should be given the chance to play early and show what he has in an ACTUAL NFL OFFENSE, with coaching geared towards said offense instead of being neglected as it was in the past.

Also, IIRC, Riv said part of the attraction of this job and a factor in the future success for our franchise is that we already have such huge weapons at RB and mentioned DLo and Stew, and may have mentioned Goodson as well. I'm pretty sure he didn't take this job expecting to lose one of those guys.
