Trying out Skype for the first time.

My sister is in Prague, and I figured we could chat via Skype.

Any tips, coupons, trial periods, etc..that I should know about?

Never used skype but heard good things about it.

When I worked overseas, I used V-Buzzer because they gave me a rate of like .007 cents per minute to the US.

I use Skype to talk to my family in Finland on occasion and have been using it regulary the past couple weeks to talk to my daughter up in NJ. It's free to video chat so I am not sure about the coupon and trial periods, etc.

I might be wrong but I have used it about 10 times and don't pay anything. I admittedly don't know a whole lot about it because I use my son's laptop and he always signs me in and hands it to me. I presume he does that so I don't accidently come across all the XXX sites that he visits while trying to pull up Skype.

I think I was looking at a version that I don't need.

The free version seems to be all that I would use.

I just had a business talk on skype, it was my first time using it and it was pretty cool. I recommend it.

The rules for skype are you have to talk to girls between 15-19 and you have to show your weener within 15 seconds of the call beginning or you're not doing it right.

Used Skype while I was studying in England to keep in touch with friends/family back in the States. It's free for computer-to-computer calls, though you have to pay if you want to make a call from your computer to a landline. Also might have to pay for conference calls, though I haven't had to before. I've skyped with up to 7 people at the same time, but that was when Skype had Beta testing for its multi-chat service, and I haven't used it since then so I don't know if it's still free or not.

But if all you're wanting to do is video chat with your sister in Prague, it won't cost you a dime.
