Sounds like we are going to have a Top 10 defense again.. just need to sign a CB.

I like Joseph, but I think Cromartie would make more sense, considering he worked with Rivera in SD.

I agree do anybody have any word on Cromartie.? Last thing i heared was he was talking with the Raiders.

I hope Thomas davis passed a fugin physical from hell before they gave him that contract

at the minimum he will have to pass one for the contract to be complete. So I would say its probably pending. I know first hand he is in good shape... but he also was in '10.

Cromartie left the Chargers on bad terms after whiffing on a tackle against the Jets in the playoffs, so he's not an option.

Glad we are resigning our guys, but we need a solid CB, if not Joseph (to much$), maybe Rodgers

Or maybe we don't reach on a CB this year, and just wait until we can get good value at the position instead of the reaching for the sake of filling a need. And spending $$$ that will only hurt us later.

Joe Person tweets: "On Commitment to Thomas Davis after 2 knee surgeries, Hurney said training staff is convinced Davis is great physical condition"

Clayton says it a 1 year 3.2mil deal:confused:

After we extend Beason, we will have these three together for a long time together. LB is a very cerebral position and these three each knowing where the other two are on the field at all times should be fun to watch on D for the next few years.

After worrying about overpaying for Johnson, Williams and Mare I think this is a great deal for the us. We locked Anderson up for 5 years at a decent price. I was thinking we would all be cursing Hurney's name at the size of his contract, but it is great. I am still confused about Davis though. We only gave him a one year deal for 3 million or we gave him a 5 year deal?

    • You guys are just going to have to accept the fact that Dan Morgan is a mid GM best case scenario currently. I used to have people get very belligerent over defending Scott Fitterer too. And that's not hyperbole. People used to go to bat for that guy like he was blood related. We have a truckload invested in the OL and what do we have to show for it? The whole unit is already banged up including one of our big signings. Even without all that the group has largely taken a step back from last year in pass protection. Then you get to the QB room and there's only two conclusions you can make about Dan Morgan. Either he deliberately ignored it two years in a row on his own accord or he took orders from Tepper to do so. Either scenario says he's not fit to be an NFL GM.
    • Frank, ceding control of the defense in no way verifies that Tepper told Canales to bench Young.    It certainly buttresses the idea that Canales would need permission to bench him but that is as far as you can take it.    After that it is pure speculation and it doesn’t make sense.
    • Uhh, okay yes that happened. I didn’t like the pick either I am a 3rd or later RB guy. Always. Actually hated the CMC pick too. Hated the Stewart pick.  No one wants to talk about trading the #39 in that draft and what he did with that.  Got #52, #155, and the Rams 2025 2nd to boot.   The 52 and 155 plus our 142 5th rounder to go up for a Brooks Everyone wants to forget about the 2025 2nd for that Rams trade  which was used to move up for Scourton.  That Rams trade down was a great deal for us.
