If we are really going for a veteran QB, which I hope we are, we need to do it quick. With the offseason cut short due to the CBA whomever we choose will need to get in here and get to work with the playbook and player chemistry.

Both of your young QB's would benefit from a solid veteran...make it happen!

the panthers are not going to be able to a find a qb to come in and mentor these young guys on the system. A vet qb will be brought in to teach this kids how to lead, how prepare, and how to manage the life of being a starting qb in the nfl. I seriously doubt, now that volek is resigned, that anyone other than clausen or cam is going to start this year.

I agree that the vet needs to be brought in soon. Needs time to at least get prepared, get with the playbook, and meet the guys.

Tony Pike is not a solution to the vet need. Investing time in Pike is taking away from Cam and Jimmy, who out shine Pike by miles. I doubt Pike makes the team.

The vet QB serves two roles. Sharing experience with the younger QB's, and keeping depth at the position. We need both very badly, so this needs to get done.
