Really nothing said just a re-hash about Williams being old...damn anyone could write this.

3. Carolina Panthers. The Panthers have certainly splashed around some money, so I guess there's an argument to be made that they're winners here. But when you're 1-15, I don't know why you give big money to a 28-year-old running back when you have Jonathan Stewart(notes) on the roster. They were kind of painted into a corner with Charles Johnson(notes) -- he's 25 years old and had 11.5 sacks last year, so they sort of had to keep him -- but to me, $30 million is a whole lot of guaranteed money for a guy who's had one good season. I'm glad they were active and I'm glad they're trying hard to improve, but I wonder if that money couldn't have been put to better use.

Even ignoring the part about 1-15 that was one of the worst write ups I've have ever wasted my time reading.

Mostly because were on the top 5 Losers in FA and NOT in the top 3 winners.

We did an excellent job in FA so that yahoo retard can suck it.

During Lockout:

"Panthers will suck this coming year because they are going to lose DWill, CJ, hell maybe even their LBers in Anderson and TD and they won't be able to replace them!!! Also, Richardson is a cheap son of a bitch that won't pay anyone!"

After the lockout:

"Panthers will suck this year because they kept DWill, CJ, and their LBers and their team sucked last year so it has to suck this year too. Also, Jerry Richardson throws too much money around!"

I understand some of the points they are making but we would have been a much worse team letting those guys go and we still have money to make some other moves. Also, I know it was a trade and not a FA signing, but come on, how do you not give us props for raping the Bears to get Olsen?

I can understand why someone might not put us in the top 5 best teams in FA this year because I don't think we addressed our two biggest needs as well as possible (though perhaps as well as the team could afford while building through youth, which I understand), but I just can't fathom how we are in the bottom 5.

The guys that re-signed were all of the best at they're position in FA. I think we did a decent job, but if we had put "better use" to our money, who were we supposed to sign that were any better?

I suppose they expected us to grab a big name corner or DT or... who the hell am I kidding, they don't know enough about our team to even realize those two areas are weaknesses, they just know our record last year and our lack of big name FA signings from other teams.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
