What's the word on Brandon Lafell heading into 11-12?

i disagree that lafell has mediocre speed. he may not be the fastest receiver straight line sprinting, but he can get from 2nd-5th gear really well.

I couldn't think of any way to really describe his speed.

I didnt want to say that he was a blazer, but I also didn't want to say he was dragging a piano behind him.

So I chose "mediocre speed" to indicate that he did in fact have a decent amount of speed, but is not Usain Bolt.

Yes Lafell's speed is very underrated.

You got that right. I spent the better part of last season just studying the WR routes and trust me, Lafell has speed. Very sneaky. He can break away if he needs to for a few extra yards.

I like the Moose comparison...Lafell has a great work ethic, I don't see him flaming out in Carolina.

I can agree with that too.

I see him becoming the Moose type like we mentioned, but I also see a "Jordy Nelson" type of potential for him.

Nelson and LaFell make good catches but don't always blow by or juke the shorts out of defenders.

They both have the ability to make very good plays, make good concentrated catches when needed, and what they lack in athleticism they make up for in "manipulation" of defenders.

Adequate is the word. :)
