Edwards was a huge upgrade so he wasn't an elite but he was sure as hell a solid upgrade for us

We might not be as bad off as you think. Yes, we need a 1 technique and let Fua rotate in with him. However, and don't laugh, Neblett is a bit of an undersized 4-3 nose. Last season, he played Pouncey even at Pittsburgh. He played in the last 4 games of 2010 and registered 10 tackles (8 unassisted).

As a rookie, he ran the 40 in 5.0 seconds, and bench pressed 225 32 times. His verticle is 30 inches. Point is, Neblett is a good athlete and did fairly well in limited action last season. As a second year player, he should improve. I am willing to bet he finds the field this season and impresses when he does.

Still, we could use a veteran, I am aware of that. But if the veteran is not better than Neblett, then why bother?

I said that's who I wanted us to take but I get the reasoning behind going QB. The biggest mistake I see is not trading DWill last year. We could have gotten at least a 3rd, drafted a RB, let Stewart taking over as the feature back with still a solid group behind him and then spent that 43 million we used on DWill bringing in a couple of solid vet DTs, a DE a #2 CB a RG to compete. No big names but solid mid level guys to round out the team instead of having these gaping holes just to keep our super duper awesome rb tandem in place. but hey im just some random internet poster wtf do i know
