Everette Brown a bust?

Yes, and I'm actually hoping we bring in McAdoo from the supplemental draft at this point.

How many times can you spin into a guy 2x bigger than you, lose your momentum, get caught with your back towards the tackle, and then just forcefully backpedal until you are pushed to the ground before you change your approach? If we see it, I'd like to know what the coaches see when they review the tapes...

I just don't see how he sticks around come cut time this year.

Trade to NE for a 2nd or 3rd rounder

Yes I believe he's worth that, cause I know they'll take him and make him good in their system. I'm pretty sure they're still a 3-4

If NE gave us anything higher than a 7th round pick for Everette Brown I would literally poo my pants.

I coulda sworn coming out of college they said he wasn't gonna work as a 3-4 linebacker because he's not quick enough laterally. Could be wrong though.

We'll he's not working as a 4-3 DE, so he doesn't have much choice....anyway when he was drafted I said he was a situational pass rusher. I must admit he's been a disappointment as that also.

If the situation is we are up by 21 points with 3 minutes left and Johnson, Norwood and Hardy are all tired and need an oxygen break, then yes, he is a situational pass rusher. :D

I've seen Brown get absolutely bitch slapped by tackles, the guy just doesn't have the bull rush ability of Johnson or the technique of Peppers.

So yes, he doesn't have the bull rush of the best bull rushing DE in the league and he doesn't have the technique of the best overall DE in the league....

    • I think in all honestly, the final 2 games are carrying most of the weight in a lot of Bryce talk IMO.    During the window where he "blew it out of the water" window......were a lot of games where he was not above average.  AZ is largely one of those stat sheet games.   Where the stat sheet reflects QB play that didn't exist in the game.  That game was all Chuba.  Meh vs Dallas.  Meh vs Philly.  Meh vs Giants.  Probably average vs Tampa, Den, Saints.  Bryce made HUGE strides vs what he was.  We should be happy.   But when you start comparing him to the rest of the league.....people I think are going too far.  His best aspect in reality.....is his scrambling.  And that's probably not a great thing give his size.
    • Mays and Zavala looked lost in the Reich offense.  Granted Zalava was probably playing too soon due to injuries but he looked terrible.  This new staff seems to be doing well with our OL.  I also wonder if having two vets in Hunt and Lewis just made life that much easier on whoever was/is playing center.
    • What the Panthers should target in order (via free agency or via trade): 1. Julian Blackmon  2. Mike Hilton 3. Jaire Alexander 4. Jalen Ramsey
