DeAngelo Williams

The game Friday is not an indication of what the 2011 Panthers will be about. Please don't lose sight of this being the preseason and the fact that our playbook is trimmed significantly. However, we will correct our mistakes...Panthers fans UNITE and lets take the NFL by storm.... or I will settle for raising some hell. lmao

last weeks game did seem like a perfect storm of crap. short week coming from what jordan gross called the toughest training camp he's been in(even without two-a-days jordan?), the trip to charlotte then to miami, the limited playcalling, and the limited starters. It's a miracle non of our QB's came out like Vick did last week throwing picks left and right..

you guys should keep in mind that deangelo knows more about the panthers and what goes on behind the scenes then any of us.

yeah i'm guessing everything we ran this week is base sets just so we can evaluate the players themselves and not the plays.

of course it could still be as lame looking week 1 but I hope the hell not.

Exactly. We are being simple. It seems like, based on the last two weeks, we're coming into games with a few formations and limited plays, just so the base is set and to evaluate fundamentals. I don't care if we dont win another preseason game as long as we win when it counts.

    • From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
    • Ppl want to trade Melo? Am I wrong for thinking that would be a bad idea?
    • Some of you act like one can't learn from experience over time. Just because you may not know what you're doing in 2018 doesn't mean that you don't know what you're doing in 2025. Frankly, you grow from experience, and success and excellence gives first-time applicants the hand probably 99.999% of the time.
