Question about Pot

It's not really that they intensify the effect of each other, but it's just something you have to get used to, like when you first started drinking. The first couple of times you do the two together it's almost as if the two buzzes fight each other and you will get the spins pretty bad, but the more you do it this goes away and you can differentiate between the two buzzes and they go quite well together.

I've never smoked it and I know there are several experts here.

Does drinking alcohol while smoking pot intensify it's effects like it would a narcotic?

Just curious.

Long as your job is not in jeopardy, yopu should give it a go. What is intensified is sex, music, and food. You will have a better ear for music. Sex CAN be better. You will find food combinations that you never thought would go well together. I wish I could smoke but that job...

Wow Jimmy, that's surprising to hear from you.

If you're a n00b, stick with one or the other, I'd say. Or, if you're bound and determined to drink, take it really easy.

I'm not much of a smoker at all, despite living where I do. I do know that a few people I know and I (all novice smokers) tend to get really nauseated if we drink just a little too much when we're smoking.

If you'd normally have 4 drinks in a defined period, try to cut that in half. Maybe a drink, then a nice sized glass of water, then a drink, etc.

Here's what's gonna happen.

First, have a beer or 2.

Take a couple tokes off the bowl, joint whatever. Wait a few mins. You will realize you are high as poo.

Then you will want to eat everything, so get some good stuff.

Then after eating everything in sight cuz you will be high for like 4 hours, get tired, and pass out.

Wake up....repeat.

p.s. im jealous.

first time i cross buzzed i puked. second time i cross buzzed i ate waffle house at 2am, and then puked.

one of the last times i cross buzzed i drank the nut brown ale i brewed. that wasn't a good choice. it is too hoppy to cure cotton mouth.

i recommend cross buzzing though. just pick the combo that's right for you.

A few years back I noticed that it would take me 6-8 beers to get me where I wanted to be, or if I was smoking, it would be 2 joints or a few bong rips (this was before the good bud was readily available). But, to coin Klong's phrase, when I would crossbuzz, I could burn 1 joint and have 2 beers and be right. I know this now to be fact and use it regularly, it keeps beers in the 'fridge and buds in the sac. I use less of each and have more later...

But intensifies one or the other? No, its a different buzz all together, IMO. And dont take it easy, no better way to test your limits than to push them...

    • I mean, in theory Bryce could get over the hump. That aside, you have to know that due to the situation we are going to give him another year. From some perspectives, it just makes sense. I'm not saying that I agree or disagree with it, but it's not like the draft is chock full of franchise QBs. I'm thinking that only one, the consensus top pick, is destined to be the only one in this draft (and some people don't believe in him). All we can do is sure up the room with an FA (Pickett) and take a swing or two and hope (maybe the dawg Pavia). 2027 should bring better options if it comes to that.
    • Let's be honest here. We have one WR on this team that would be in the top 3 of ANY other team. And he was a rookie last year. I love Coker but he is an often injured UDFA. He wouldn't have even gotten a chance on other teams. The rookie injury would have bounced him around the league for the next 5 years until he stopped trying to make a roster. It's a numbers game for most teams and he would have (at best) been on some team's practice squad. But Carolina has been so devoid of talent at the position, that we didn't have much of a choice. Bryce leaves a lot of questions but to say he hasn't elevated anyone isn't true. No WR has left Carolina since he's started and did better on another team. Not one. And there are several to choose from. Coincidence? Maybe. Probably not.
