what list?

He was a good pick, and played well for us until we asked to mmuch of him.

So what list are you speaking of? I'm curious.

The list of second round picks this team has made that haven't panned out for whichever reason, either they underwhelmed, had injury issues, or had some value and left for nothing in return (Marshall). Back to 2003, omitting only Kalil and Sherrod Martin as they provide a significant contribution:

Jimmy Clausen

Everette Brown

Dwayne Jarrett

Richard Marshall

Eric Shelton

Keary Colbert

Bruce Nelson

That's one hell of a list there.

Jimmy clausen - could end up being a quality backup

everette brown - It took charles johnson a couple years to get it the jury is still otu on him

dwayne jarrett - just an idiot that wasted his talent

Richard Marshall - we asked too much of him

Eric Shelton An idiot as well

Keary Colbert - Went mambo #5 on us

bruce nelson - not his fault he just couldn't put his hips into it.

undervalue...he performed well as a nickle back, which is what he projected to be. He made an impact his rookie season. He rarely missed time for injury. So he lived up to the value of his pick, and contract.

As for the "we let him walk and got no value for him"

That's the nfl. No team in the league goes around trading away their players just cause they are coming to the end of their contract. I don't know what world you live in, but it's not reality.

    • You would hope so. I’m confused why the sports world seems split on Bryce when he’s obviously not working out.
    • So let’s do the reverse? Make everyone agree everything he does is a disaster? I also think the whole “gaslighting” is on the eye of the beholder. It went from he can’t avoid one single sack countered with he actually did that well Sunday (with data backing it) to a little breakdown of why he is so bad. People are going to have different opinions. I’m also not going to pretend this wasn’t happening Day one with this little QB.
    • All this great stuff he has done, how often does he do it?  I have it at three or four games out of 14 where he was very good and then you get a drive here or a series there where there are some good things. Here is the gaslight part: everyone has put him on a curve with his first year the baseline, neglecting to understand how bad he was then. Even if he comes back twice as good, where does that really leave him? 25th ranked or thereabouts.     He had so far to go, and still does, it is a Major ‘settle’ to accept his play as worthy of giving him our future.  You want to settle when the Bucs have Mayfield, and the Saints have overtaken us at QB? We will be third in the division at QB. That is good enough for y’all?
