Wanted to try one of "these" threads...Austin Pettis or Greg Salas?

Jim Thomas and Bill Coats of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch both believe rookie WR Greg Salas' roster spot is safe, though Austin Pettis may not be so fortunate.

Salas has flashed in camp practices and preseason games, and "shown a knack for getting open on underneath routes, at times looking almost like a bigger Danny Amendola." He also possesses better RAC ability than Amendola, which may give us a hint about the latter's long-term outlook in St. Louis. Pettis has practiced well only to disappear in exhibition games.

If one of them gets cut, which one you individuals that still wants another wide out would be all for taking a flyer on Salas or Pettis?

He doesn't really improve us though..

I was big on Pettis coming out of college. But I haven't heard much about him during the preseason. The guy has potential to be a good WR in the league, but we don't have room for another "potential" guy right now.

in that order. none of them have to be studs, just competant.
