I remember when Godfrey was drafted and he sported the #30 for the 1st time.. Minter had just retired and everyone was telling him he had big shoes to fill.. He has made some of us pull out out hair at sometimes and made us jump for joy in others.. So..

I think Godfrey's the better talent. But... I'd say Godfrey may have a few years where he is one of the best safeties around but his lime light might dwindle sooner than the consistency of Might Mouse's career. Minter was a boss.

Mike Minter really brought a presence and sense of leadership to the field. I think that is what separates him and Godfrey. I do believe Godfrey has potential to be better than and as much of a leader as Minter was but not yet. 1 to 2 more years.

Godfrey at this point......is nowhere near Minter. Minter was better on the field. Much more complete S.

Godfrey however has the better skill set to work with....so I can't say he won't get there or even be better.

I think this new leadership responsibility is by far the best thing that couldve happened to him. Its my hope that he takes a more conservative approach to his coverage game. If he can do that and still make all the plays in the air, then we can compare him to After Dinner.
