Beason Update

Panthers HC Ron Rivera expects MLB Jon Beason (questionable, Achilles') to play Sunday against the Cardinals.

Steve Reed of the Gaston Gazette doesn't expect Beason to play every down, as the star linebacker will likely need to be eased back into the lineup. Beanie Wells is a must start in all fantasy formats, while Beason should be sat in IDP leagues this week even if he is active.

They thought it was his Achilles but it didn't respond to rest and treatment. They did a minor procedure a few weeks ago to his heel which was for a bone bruise where they inserted 3 screws.

Still hard to believe he will be 100% today.

It was bone inflamation in his foot. they inserted three crews into the bone. Beason is disregarding doctors orders and playing today anyway. he should wait at least till nxt week to start but hey its only our best defender no worries right?

it's never been the achilles. it wa a bone bruise. they thought it was the achilles then did an MRI and found that it was a bone bruise so they put three screws in his heel to help speed recovery and help deal with inflammation.
