I still think you give your def. the best chance to compete. It's like saying screw the rest of the def we are going to play Fua no matter how bad he is getting tossed around. Are you giving them a chance to compete or get better when your doing nothing to help the weak link?

I understand your rebuilding point, but I still think signing a vet to a 1 year contract will not hinder the development of either Fua or McClain....and the vet would be gone next season when Edwards comes back.

Exactly my point. Why would you get another young guy to develop when you only need him for 1 season?

It seem like a vet would better fit the role of a 1 year stop gap then another young guy.

I'm in favor of signing a vet because I like what they can show young guys on the field.

With that said, if they don't sign one, I won't scream. I can understand the approach.
