What about McClain impresses you so much? I remember you were sold on him at TC.

What I've noticed is his burst off the line, so quick off the ball to penetrate. If he can master the hand fighting and continue to get stronger he will be a force to be reckoned with.

Form what little I have seen McClain has a great motor on him. Doesnt quit.

Firstly, I shot the USF-Clemson bowl game here in Charlotte. The entire USF squad sought out McClain and poured gatorade over him. For a team to act that way towards a DT tells me a lot.

In camp he reminded me a lot of Warren Sapp. Big dude but very quick feet and tremendous upper body strength. The big standup blue obstacles would slam to the ground when he ran through and hit them. Had not seen anyone do that since Jenks.

McClain is still getting used to the pro game and working on his technique. but once he does, watch out.

USF is becoming a hot bed for NFL talent.

Yeah, they are starting to attract the Florida highschool kids in the central florida area. Now kids can stick closer to home, where their parents can drive to their games, and not have to go to Miami, FSU, or UF. In just over 10 years its bcome a legit football program. We should all hope Charlotte has half of the success.

The fact that the run D improved as the game went on is enough for me right now.

Yeah, they improved as the game went on and they show a lot of promise. I actually look forward to seeing them both improve as the year goes on. I saw good things from both of them which is promising, if both of our 3rd round DT's from one draft can be long term future starters for us this years draft will be really impressive.

From the 5 games I've seen him in so far, the only thing that sticks out to me is that he needs to be more Physical. You will not go very far at DT in this league being a finesse player

Rare and usually don't stay effective like that forever.

Human body can only be so big before it starts having issues.
