Trade Up For Sanchez?

Recommended Posts

^^^^That. Without looking it up, I'm guessing that Matt Ryan threw more passes in college than Stafford and Sanchez combined.

Ryan threw a ton in college, but if everyone will remember, he was not that "great" in college at all. Merely average.

Rex Grossman had an amazing defense to bail him out every time he threw an interception, Trent Dilfer was the quarterback for the Ravens when they were good.

:conehead:

my point exactly. Dilfer ain't much better than Boller. I think it's ridiculous to say that Rex Grossman is as good as Peyton Manning because they are both on "good" teams.

Your just a typical poster that doesn't know poo and loves to argue with everyone except that he ends up always wrong.

??? Actually, you're wrong. I almost never argue in threads. In fact, I think it's retarded. Everyone trying to prove that they have the bigger virtual dick. Whatever, I disagree with your opinion without personally attacking you.

Most of this board last year didn't want Matt Ryan either. So I think that proves that no one knows what they are talking about. We will need a QB for the future. We have to find them sometime.
we didn't want ryan. ryan turned out to be good....so far. since he was better than we thought we should go after a QB with only one year starting in college under his belt?

no thanks. too expensive of a mistake to make.

I wanted us to trade up for Ryan last year, We didn't know how jake was going to come back from the surgery and I thought we needed some insurance. I did however end up liking our first round picks though.

    • This is what I mean. I am not some huge BY fan. I honestly don't look at QBs the way a lot of you guys do. Right or wrong, I've always looked at them as just another cog in the machine. Didn't want BY or even a trade up for a QB in 2023. We saw in the Super Bowl how important the rest of the team is on any given Sunday. Now... so PFF, who has no reason to prop up BY, says he's first in 2 stat lines and Panthers "fans" are arguing why it's either wrong or a made up stat just to make BY look good. Even though they have multiple stat lines where he's literally last in. Like 32nd in the NFL. Some he's even lower than 32. Take a step back. Try to objectively self analyze. This is just not sensible.  Same thing I see with other teams' fans and their QBs though. We analyze every single throw on every single play. For every other QB, most here are only using highlights to judge. Makes a difference. We saw Stafford miss throws when they played Carolina - both games. We saw Love throw crap up when they played Carolina. We saw Dak miss throws when they played Carolina - and Pickens was putting on a SHOW. We saw Josh Allen win a game with 163 yards passing against Carolina, but if BY does it he's crap and can't pass for 200 yards. Gents... come on.
    • None of us think we're contenders this season but no reason we're doomed to 5 or 6 wins either. Dan has to have another 2025- like draft class and at least 2 key free agent signings. We're not Seattle but they don't win without 5 starters from their last 2 draft classes and Darnold and Lawrence in free agency.  Alas,  we'll have to wait one more season for a QB upgrade.
