Makes a lot of sense to trade for Curry soooo....it won't happen!

Haha yeah I know what u mean. It seems like we go after players that make no sense, But the ones that seem like no brainers they stay away from. Although Idk If this is a no brainer. Buy what's it gonna hurt. He could come here and be a real compliment to Anderson and beason

This bust in Seattle had 73 tackles and 3.5 sacks last year. He also forced 2 fumbles.

I don't think a team short on Linebackers and having 2 catastrophic injuries to 2 of their starters can not be looking into picking Curry up. Folks, face it, Thomas Davis is done in the NFL. Jon Beason will be back, but may lose a step. Anderson is solid at one LBer spot (but is probably best suited as a WLB). Connor is very good as a 2 down LB in the middle, but he does have an injury history and an expiring contract. Point is that the Panthers are short on starting quality linebackers. This might be your chance to pick up a quality player for cheap at the SLB position.

And if Curry could be had for Clausen, trade pickles right the fug now. I know Hurney probably wants to save face after blowing early round picks in each of the past three seasons, but Clausen has no future in a Chud offense. We all know that.

u make a very good point about his stats compared to the our defense.

I think people call him a bust bc he didn't live u to 4th overall pick porential. People was expecting 170 tackles and 8 sacks. But he could be a great pick up an possibly could put numbers like that one day in this defense.

Well he is a LB that fits only in a certain defense. You shouldn't expect 170 tackles out of most strong side linebackers being asked to play at the LOS in the NFL. In a lot of ways, he is similar to Dan Connor in that he is a very solid player that will have to play in the right scheme. If you remember, Connor was expected to be a first round pick but slid because of scheme-related concerns. Curry was the 4th pick in that draft because of the overall weakness in that draft. His stats absolutely dwarf other players taken around him such as Tyson Jackson, Aaron Maybin (official bust), Heyward Bay, etc.

I don't think Curry is a bust, but he is a HUGE liability in coverage.

If he struggles in the NFC west, he would get torched in the NFC South.

So is Dan Connor. Hell, Thomas Davis, a converted safety was much better in the box than he was in coverage. Just don't leave Curry out in space. Play him on the strong side and let him clean up in the running game on first and second downs.

A starting LB crew next year of Curry, Beas, and Anderson would be very formidable.

That would be a sick lineup. Makes losing TD bearable. Hes done IMO.

Well I literally didnt mean 170 tackles. But when u draft someone 4th overall u expect big numbers. He has put up decent numbers. Idk the stats but I'm pretty sure curry has had more sacks then our backers in a single season. I think Dan Conner is a very good linebacker and he does what the coaching staff ask of him. And I like curry and what he could bring to the table
