Cam's Response to Olsen

No, All I want you to do is work on your sarcasm. Lol. ;)

Heck, I'm surprised that FU is all Cam said..Honestly, I would be pissed a bitch considering these loses are not other team beating us but we beating ourself...Now if that isn't mother F'ing annoying, nothing else is.

FYI, this is a site where sex and the word Fug is not even a second thought and u folks are getting all righteous on Cam for telling a team-mate FU right after losing another very winnable game...I'm sure Cam has said FU many times so far. I know I would...

We just hearing about it thanks to an over zealous reporter. I guess someone forgot to tell him what is said in the locker when the cameras aren't on should stay in the locker. That is why it's called a locker-room.

Cam was wrong, plain and simple (or should I say simple and plain ;)). It is good to hurt after a loss but his teammates spilled as much blood on the field as Cam did and he needs to remember that.

I am glad he has a passion for winning and that will bode him well in the long run but he needs to learn that he and his his teammates are in this thing together. It is not a good thing to alienate the people that you rely on to be successful.

Having been a former athlete and having experienced these type of scuffles i know that they will likely apologize, move on, and when they start winning everything will be fine.

But Cam is right to be upset but very, very wrong by projecting that onto other teammates.

Having said that one of my favorite memories of Jake Delhomme is of him scolding a teammate (maybe Rosario) after he missed him when he was open. The player came back to the huddle and was complaining and Jake got right in his face and yelled "Don't do that!! I missed you, I will find you next time, but don't do that!!"

That was a different situation but it shows a certain passion that I admire.

except that you do hear about this stuff when Tom and Peyton say it... at least for Manning you do, as I know I heard a story similar to this several years ago on ESPN for him, and you hear about both of them bitching out players occasionally.

edit: you have a weird obsession with Gabbert, lol. I'm pretty sure 75% of football fans don't even know who Blaine Gabbert is, but just about EVERYONE knows who Cam is now, so anything he does is news...

I don't have a weird obsession with anyone. I mentioned Blaine cause he was always linked with Cam during the draft.

Cam is 22(23?) year old NFL player. With the keys to an entire franchise. That’s a lot different than people saying fug over the internet.

It’s not that big of a deal. He’s young and I’m sure he’ll learn over time to better control his emotions. All I said was it was disrespectful. I didn’t say it was a big deal.

footballisasport, you are one annoying pissant at times.

Why cause I call a spade a spade..

Maybe cause I'm old enough to remember when football was a real man's sport where cursing and swearing was par for the course. One day those guys who use to do it without thinking about it turned into talking heads and now they want to clean up one of the most passionate sports out there. Like really....That is what makes this darn game fun to watch.

I'm sick of these pussies in our media who are trying to ruin a sport that spitting mad was once considered not mad enough...

Save for being a rookie, they really have very little else in common. Cam has more or less left all the other rookies in the dust as far as national exposure through what he has done goes.

That being said, I actually think if Gabbert said something like this to Mercedes Lewis within easy ear shot of a reporter, we'd still hear about it... especially if Gabbert came out and apologized in front of the media for saying it, lol.

Wow. I'm sure this never happened before or will never happen again to anyone on the Panthers. Because teammates never mouth off to each other when they are pissed. Football players are the most polite bunch of guys you will ever find. I'm still in shock a NFL football player said a curse word.

That's like saying the Colonel got up in some soldier's face, so another soldier should also be able to get up in that soldier's face too.

Do you people think before you speak?

Cam is not the coach. He's a player, and a rookie player at that. These guys are taking the bad of Cam with his good. There's no reason for him to snap on Olsen, unless, like I said, there's something else to it all.

That something else could be Cam having "heard" that Olsen was ripping him behind his back after him sailing passes last week or jumping on Olsen's back after the TD last week, and Cam didn't like what he heard, so he took Olsen's "good game" as Olsen trying to make up for what he knows that Cam knows, and Cam says "Fuq You" to let him know he's still not cool with it.

There has to be more to it than just being mad about a lost, because that would be completely irrational.

Why am I not surprised by ur comment...Whatever...it's folks like u who take nothing and make way to much out of it.

If all Cam said was FU in the heat of passsion, then Oh well...As I said, I've read worst on this site and ur not playing the darn game...Get over it.

    • Derrick Brown was one player I never called or even suggested was a bust . Dude was young and hadn't even hit his stride. It takes time to learn the position. The thing I appreciated about him is that he kept improving season after season. He got paid and keeps on going like the Energizer Bunny.
    • How many teams coddle their QB the way Bryce has been coddled? I have never seen any other team in the NFL EVER baby a QB the way that Bryce has been.  Bryce was named day 1 starter his first year. It was obvious he didnt deserve it. He wasnt ready as evidenced by the worst rookie year in NFL history.  So let's move to year 2. He's named starter again with no competition in TC and is benched 2 games later. We have the ghost of a backup in Dalton who is so bad he can only beat Vegas and let's remember, the only reason he lost his starting job was a car accident, not because Bryce actually beat him out in practice.  And year 3. We sign Dalton again, who already proved he couldn't be depended on to put an even remotely passable performance on the field, and bring back Jack Plummer, who was even worse than last year. It was obvious he was nothing more than a pretend body in an attempt to create an illusion of some type of attempt to find a backup.  Then we start again with garbage play again and Bryce gets benched with a phantom injury, and the ghost of the ghost of Dalton breaks his thumb on the first drive and craps the field all over again. If we had actually made an attempt to find a legitimate QB2, it's possible Bryce doesn't step on the field again. Bryce is not agood QB and if we had any other mediocre QB, our record would be the same or better.  Bryce is not entrenched. He's been placed, protected and sheltered from ever having to face a  real QB competition in TC. Richardson and Levis both were ass and both were benched and eventually replaced.  Do I expect Baker to face competition in camp? Sure. I expect Tampa to find the best QB2 they can at price that fits their cap and resources and system and get him up to speed. If he's better than Baker, and if he's better by a significant margin, that's best for the team. The ultimate goal is a Super Bowl. Bellichek was constantly getting QB2s with the GOAT as his starter. He knew the value and that was realized when Cassell led them to an 11-5 record as a backup.  You and I may think differently than the people that matter but I will say it again. If you're afraid to bring in a capable backup, especially after the debacle of last year. The starting role wasn't earned, it was given, and that's loser mentality.
    • I would have done the same thing.  LSU is a much better job than Ole Miss.  Plus the enormous contract and every advantage a college team can offer in terms of recruiting and facilities and tradition etc
