When I read any thread....I always open the link referenced....I do not scroll down and read all the response posts first. I do not think that is unusual.

I didn't say it was unusual, it was just everyone opening the link, then posting something about banning him. That's the part I found funny, it was just a continuous stream of people clicking the link, then saying bant.

I wouldn't ban any of you guys if you did the same thing so thats where I stand on this. There is a double standard for people that have been here a while and most of you fall on the same side I would judge this prank. (Except for lets say a person who signed up last week for instance...I'd pry ban them)

I soft deleted it so a "higher-being" can review it and choose to act differently if they so choose

Sorry...I do not see a double standard. I think anyone should be banned for this. Someone with only a few posts should be banned forever. A regular poster, with no previous probs...I would recommend the same as I said before.

It wasn't funny when your computer was locked up....with crap flashing all over and no way to stop it.

ok, maybe I have a different sense of humor then some, all I had to do was close the program (FF) with the task manager and it went away. I just wish he would have had a better sense of music for his prank. I'm not agreeing with it, it shouldn't be done on a Football forum. I can also say it was dumb, but I did find it a bit humorous.

I think if it had been a newbie then he would have been perma-banned without questioning what rule he had broken. Some things just make sense. But if you're looking for a reason not to, well there's always legaleze to hide behind.

I didn't get to try it but I bet even Firefox + NoScript would still have seen the annoyance. BTW, using AdBlock + NoScript on this site is a dream come true.
