insecure fan base is insecure

manning went 3-13 in his first year, he sure did get the hella outta town as soon as he had the chance?

ps you fukers ever heard of this thing called a franchise tag?

The beauty of the NFL. Its just nice to see a fanbase feel a loss. Last year was numbing and each game had lowered expectations only to fall below those..

Its sucked and I was furious about the timeout(but 12 men on the field) and mad about the 3 and 2 where it was a streak for 89...get the first down and run clock!

Man I'm worried he is going to high tail it outta Carolina after his 4 years is up. I don't want him to pull a King James move on us. Maybe I'm just worried b/c we have never had a player of his caliber on our team before...ever..... :(

It's 5 years, the team has the 5th year option on all 1st round deals. I'm sure they will take the option. The 5th year cap hit is 13 million, if your wondering.

Man Cam isn't going anywhere without us having any option back there. NFL isn't the NBA

Anyway, Rivera said we need to find balance. YES THE fug YOU DO. Cause throwing when running is working is just not common sense. Believe it or not, games are won off common sense at times

I think you're on to something there Beaston. We didn't exercise common sense and it hurts to screw up an opportunity for a victory because of such stupidity.

Cam Newton has the right to be upset.

However, I will play a bit of devil's advocate here. For all the great numbers Cam puts up for most the game, he is falling short on late drives in the 4th and some of that has to fall on him. I'm still waiting for "the moment", that drive where he charges the team down the field for the winning points. That hasn't happened yet and that worries me from a confidence perspective. For now, I have to chalk it up to inexperience and to be honest, Cam has surpassed my wildest expectations but these close losses cannot continue.

On a side note, does this team remind you of how the Chargers traditionally start off their season with close losses early in the season? Considering who our head coach is, I wonder if that's a stigma we're going to be stuck with.

Might as well get angry with himself, since they are beating themselves.

Interception. -7points

Blocked extra point. -1 point

Idiot timeout. -3 points

Didn't challenge New Orleans fumble. -3 points (potentially)

Defense couldn't get one stop on the last NO drive when you needed it. If Drew Brees evaded a would be sack, the idiot DBs were frozen looking in the backfield to see if he was going to get sacked and then he burned them...several times.

Yep, the Panthers beat themselves again this week. You all quit doing that, you might not be pissed, Cam.

Not gonna lie.

Cam's going to have to get over this "losing and life is over" poo pretty quick. It's the NFL you are not going to win every Sunday, in fact you're going to lose at least several times in your best years in this league. If he's doing everything he can--and playing pretty well--he needs to just concentrate on positive energy and getting better and helping his teammates. The sulking stuff has got to stop at some point. This is a tough league to get W's in. They're coming.

This thread has morphed into Cam might leave because a team that was 1-15 drafted him and now is 1-4 and very competive, continues to lose close games, even to last years SB champion and NFC South leader and former champion from 2 years ago. Plus 2 tough road losses in highly competitive games. We still have too many weaknesses. Did you guys have all these games penciled in as wins prior to the season starting? Seriously, SMH :-[

Is this 2002? I hope Cam doesn't let losing get to him. We will get better.
