and one of em is a KR. We are in bad need of a KR to give us good starting field position. Since SS became one of the NFL's best WR'ers we haven't had a KR of his caliber. This is not our only need and won't solve all our problems, but it is a need none the less...

I'm a homer, but I said we should have claimed Brandon Tate when the Pats released him. He put up 186 return yards including a PR TD. I know STs is more than just the returner, but some guys just have that innate ability to make people miss, and I don't think Edwards or Pilares (Edwards more so) has that "it" factor.

we need more than a returner on special teams. screw edwards and pilares and their potential. get someone who knows how to do the job and then get us some guys that knows how to block and then get us a STs coach that doesn't suck.

and then we can deal with having horrible coverage guys.

STs needs a massive overhaul in the offseason. it's been neglected for way too long.

part of the problem is that we've been so decimated with injuries that guys who were once backups/special teamers have been bumped into starting spots and aren't playing on ST anymore...

once we get depth i expect a massive improvement.

We are missing that kinda playmaker. Our ST play is looking like a huge liability. Mare, Pilares and AE all had a bad day.

He came here after our horrible season last year, so I don't think he'll mind.

Yes ST coach indeed. How hard is too stay in your lanes until you are 15 yards from the returner, then converge on him. Also if you persue run at angles towards the sidelines to cut off the runner. I played special teams in high school......fundamentals...we never had these problems. Of course proper tackling look at the stomach not the feet!

I agree, Tate would be an upgrade for us as a KR/PR and I also think that Goodson is better than both Edwards and Pilares.
