In order

1. Cam- he's the franchise now

2. Gross- protects the franchise blindside

3. Charles Johnson, most complete defensive end and a force

4. Steve Smith- he's elite and our offense is nowhere near where it is without him

5. Kalil-having a great year

6. Gamble- closest thing we have ever had to a shutdown corner

7. Beason- we miss his plamaking ability right now, without Connor he'd be even higher

8.Stewart- most complete back we have,

9.Olsen- he's putting up more numbers than Shockey and been a good target for Cam

10.Deangelo- has ability to break big one at any moment

11.Anderson- our best linebacker standing

12.Wharton- doing a great job so far

13.Godfrey-Final line of defense

14.Shockey- playing well and very consistent

15. Connor- not playing lights out but could be a lot worse without him

16. Hardy-creating good pressure right now

17. Butler- I like him better than munnerlyn already

18. Lafell- bails cam out in clutch situations

19. Applewhite-doing a good job in shoring up run D and good in rotation

20. Hangartner- bernadeau back in would be devastating

Dude how are you going to start a Thread asking people to do something you didn't take time to do yourself?

To answer your question, we don't have 20 important players on this team, which is why we're 2-6. I say we have about 15.

Considering an NFL roster requires 53 and there is a salary cap I do believe we have 20 important players or as i said ones we cant afford to lose. No way we can upgrade 33 or more positions next year and rep for those who took a stab it

1. Jimmy friggin Clausen

If he were not so bad and dismal we would not have Newton. I know this goes against conventional wisdom but imagine if he had been mediocre last year we would not have picked first and we would not be poised for greatness.

2. Steve Smith. I think he influenced part of the revolution that is taking place within the organization. He is also the leader of this team. Faults, attitude and all, he makes the needle move.

3. Cam then everyone else

    • It is like when you go to da buffet at da Golden Corral and dey have all dis food and you get the same thing every time.   There is probably something you would like more, but you go to da same ol racks and get da same ol food every time.  Not sure why I am writing in trailer park dialect, but hey, watcha gonna dooo.
    • If we don't go OT, we will regret it.  What bothers me?  Are we going to get a starting-caliber OT at 19?  I think the draft is solid at OT, and the more I read up and watch video, the more I watch Lomu, the more I want him.   I see Freeling as a RT who needs some work in run blocking (since we need to run first, maybe not a good fit) and I see Proctor ending up as a Guard.  After Lomu (assuming Mouigia and fanu are gone), I think we wait until round 2.  In round 2, there are about 3-4 I like (Zuhn--good pass blocker and VERY underrated right now; Tiernan is a very good pass blocker as is Miller from Clemson, but both are not good in the run game.  Max Ixxxxx from Ariz St is impressive too---technically, there is not a of difference in these second tier guys--good in pass pro, need work in the run game.   If we wait until round 2 for an OT, we probably need to sign Nijman and start him early.   I almost think this is what we should do if Lomu is gone.  There is a big dropoff after him, imo, and I think we'd get better value if a stud ILB or edge is there.  Someone like TJ Parker Clemson makes sense. If Lomu is gone, trading back might be the play.
    • And what is x gunna help with except show him what not to do. Plus for the first year and a half he was just an obstacle
