COD: Modern Warfare 3 ~ Begins 12:00 am, 11.08.2011

All these BF3 threads and nothing about the COD franchise? Dont get me wrong, I'm one of the biggest Battlefield fanboys out there, but I think MW3 is going to be pretty good (even if it's the same canned poo every year).

They've apparently done alot of revamping with the way character classes/points/killstreaks/etc. are handled. I've always been more of a support player (think teamplay in BFBC2/BF3), so I'm liking the fact that there will finally be other good ways of gaining exp/points instead of just racking up kills.

My biggest gripes from the older COD games are the noob tube and knifing BS. Hopefully they've slowed down the melee, put an end to those bastards that do nothing more than run the map with knife in hand :/

I dont see how the fug people can pay $60 every single year for that poo. I love Call of Duty and I plan on getting MW3 eventually but it sure as hell won't be for $60 on release night. I'll wait 3 months and get a 50% off discount.

Because I enjoy playing it.

You call it "poo" yet go on to say you "love Call of Duty"?

It's taken the same path as the Madden franchise... more/less the same game every year, but they'll throw in a couple new things to get people to keep coming back. From what I've seen online, this one looks to be a bigger jump from Black Ops than Black Ops was from MW2... same basic idea, but a couple new twists on it.

Infinity Ward (creators of MW2) didn't work on MW3.

false

People close to the matter said Infinity Ward is working closely with Sledgehammer, which is led by a team recruited away from Activision's rival Electronic Arts Inc. The two studios are equally sharing duties of producing the single-player portion of the game, the sources said.

Lawyered.

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
