Hogan will be a stud CB

We don't need him to play like an all-pro out of the gates. He's just gonna be in the game for nickel and dime packages here and there. Gamble has been excellent this season and Munnerlyn gets way more hate than he deserves. Plus Butler has been decent. So I don't expect to see too much of Hogan for a while, but he needs to make his opportunities count. I think he's gonna make some exciting plays for us in the future.

agreed that he has potential stud in him, but i doubt that we see any of that this year. my hope is that he can elevate our return game and log some minutes on the field the way we brought butler in. i could see him rotating and giving captain a run next year for the nickel spot and possibly the #2 down the line. it's not often that a player has both speed and sure tackling ability. i really hope he pans out, because if he does, a quartet of gamble, he, butler and captain will give us a very tough secondary. plus, one less area to address in the draft and fa.

Hogan has been covering Steve Smith in practice for like 2 weeks now and apparently has been doing an outstanding job at it. He reminds me a little bit of Greg Hardy. A guy with character issues that was taken later in the draft than he could have been. But he has behaved very well so far, and I don't see why that won't continue. I have seen Hogan play a lot and the guy is very fast, explosive, a very hard hitter and a shut down corner. He will be a steal for us. I'm not really understanding some of the concerns on here. I'm very excited to see him on game day.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
    • This is the Buc's division to lose.  We come out on top only if the wheels come off if Tampa.  I agree we can be--and should be--better than the Saints and likely the Falcons.  A 9-8 season would be nice, but it isn't great.  It's mediocre and that something the Panthers haven't been in nearly a decade, but would be reason to celebrate.  Heck, the Steelers will likely fire Tomlin over a 9-8 season because they are tired of being mediocre.
    • First game was a awful stat line. 2nd DNP due to ankle Summer league doesn't help what hes bring, its dang near YMCA pickup game level.  I heavily question the type of player he is and his future was NOT, not not not what you use #4 pick on. Hornets got him on visit and still made the pick, they better hope he has some Larry legend in him. I maintain huge questions.
