He's not satisfied with his performance:

“I always give the same response about, ‘Cam, are you really surprised with your performance?’ Whether it’s a reporter, whether it’s whoever that’s asking me, I’ve asked this question to them: ‘Have you ever put a large body of work into something and expected it just to be OK?’ … So why would I be surprised with my performances right now. If anything, I feel like I’ve failed myself due to this game is about wins and losses. And I’m not hanging my hat on no 2-6 season and we still have an opportunity to change that.”

With comments like this, I can't understand why there's about 5% of our fans out there that don't support this guy. How can you possibly question the guy's will/atitude/work ethic at this point?

It's because he's a black QB.

Other than the games we should be favored

@Detroit I think we could pull an upset..

@Tampa may as well be a favorite here, I think we have a better team

@Houston lets just hope its old school choke late in the season Houston, cus they to good for us right now

@NO We gonna get them this time!

I hope we flip it.. started 2-6, ended 6-2.

The detroit upset is very possible...I think we play them before or after their game against GB. Its a perfect trap game. We can beat anyone on our schedule. I expect at least 4 wins but I hope you are right and we flip it.

There are a few here on the Huddle who have to take their shots at him whenever they get the chance. This morning, there were callers on WFNZ(who were apparently too scared to come on the air) who apparently were calling Cam a "one hit wonder", saying that defenses will destroy him once they get more film on him, which is all garbage. You can go read any Panthers related article in the Observer and find commenters who STILL bring up the laptop incident in Florida as evidence that he will not succeed, etc. I just wonder how many Colts fans did this for Manning in his first year when he was clearly playing on a bad team.

The people here who do it, just do it to get under peoples skin. The wfnz nerds are likely fans of other teams.

If you are a Panther fan and don't support your new QB who's playing damn well....then you probably don't have the correct number of chromosomes.

      Im not firm on many things football, but this statement or belief or strategy I am 100% for. Full Offseason the goal is to make the playoffs. Week 1, 1000% I want to win. Weeks 2-10,  1000% I want to win. Until the math stats 0.000000000% chance at NO playoffs, I want to win. *Once* there's no chance at the playoffs, I want to 100% lose every game until the end. You are still loser at 2-15 or 5-12, I want to never lose like this again. I want the best value for losing and suffering. Again the only goal is playoffs. Once in the playoffs anything can happen, I want to win the whole dam show. If you happen to lose in the first round, that's perfectly fine and lets work hard this upcoming off-season to get another chance to make them.  This is the ONLY way to play in the NFL. Anyone not understanding this method of strategy, please call your doctor for a visit...

      Purdy's good but at the end of the day you're paying first class money for a business class seat.  It's a big problem with the salary cap.  QBs take most of it whether they are Pat Mahomes or not.

      Purdy saved the 49ers from that three 1st picks for Trey Lance. People forget that. People also forget he should have MVP votes for the 23 season. He's been any where from the 8th(his best/23) to 14th ranked QB, he's legit and guys around top 10 get paid as QBs.....guys in 28th get paid too, he's 4x the QB Trevor Lawrence is and better than BY by miles as well...even without CMC, Samuel(whos a RB playing WE), and half the OL.    *BUT*    You non-believers missed this ultra important mistake that honestly made me reconsider all the praise I gave him. https://www.si.com/nfl/49ers/news/49ers-qb-brock-purdy-throws-blind-40-percent   That's is damming to my case and reset my thinking of his. That's nuclear scary now and I need some time.  too honest for me to overlook.
