McQueary is throwing Paterno under the bus by telling everyone he gave specific and graphic details. Was he standing there taking notes?

And now he's the new head football coach at Penn State? Why wasn't he fired for not "following up" like Paterno was?

McQueary actually did less than Paterno (McQueary told Paterno; Paterno reported it and testified to the grand jury) but he's keeping his job?

McQueary isn't throwing him under the bus. McQueary is just making it known he saw a sexual act and reported it as a sexual act. The people Joe Pa reported it to said they were told they were horsing around. McQueary is right in that instances to re-state his specific details.

Joe Pa also confirmed McQueary said it was a sexual act. Joe Pa reported it as a sexual act........and those above Joe Pa said it was reported as horsing around.

McQueary isn't the name and face of Penn St with the power of Joe Pa. Ball was in Joe Pa's court once reported.....he had the power to get more done than McQueary.

Hey CRA, what if i told you I saw your dad banging a kid in the shower? You would call the police on your dad that second because I told you right? Because I must be telling the truth, and have no reason to ever lie on your dad that you know of?

This is all on McQuery for not calling the police on the spot instead of going to Joe Pa??? Why would he go to Joe Pa? Anyone can make up a lie. It was McQuery's responsibility to inform the cops and no one elses... but I guess I'm wrong because McQuery still has a job.

On the flip side, if Joe Pa would have said: "this has nothing to do with me, call the cops" to McQuery would we still be blaming Joe Pa for saying what he should have said or would this be blamed on McQuery for not doing what he should have done in the first place.

Don't you think McQueary should have reported to someone that can actually do something about it and not the football coach?

Me and DP were discussing it on Twitter...

I've got a feeling that almost EVERYONE knew, but those enabling it were far above Joe Pa.

The original writer of the piece on Sandusky's investigation is saying that the charity AND Sandusky were pimping these young boys out to donors. He also said we're likely to find out that Sandusky was forced to retire in 1999 in exchange for a cover-up. The original DA on the case went missing in 2005 after NOT CHARGING Sandusky in the original investigation, despite having Sandusky admitting to a mother to showering with her child and making contact with him (and may have actually had two mothers have him admit it).

Joe Pa, who was an otherwise upstanding man with strong morals by many accounts, knew about it, reported it, and didn't follow up on it? McQueary SAW one of these incidents and a) didn't whoop this guy's ass and b) never went to police when he knew all that Sandusky got was a slap on the hand and was told not to bring anymore children to the facilities?

Put it all together. This is going to get really ugly. No excuse for any of those who didn't personally put a stop to this sick monster(s), but what if they knew it went above university officials. What if politicians or well-off lawmakers and law enforcers knew about it or were somehow involved (donors maybe?)?

I think this thing is far from over... To me, that's the only way this stuff could've happened and was never brought to light until now.

Everyone should take a fall but the man who this Standusky guy was under...Yeah, he couldn't dare have sat there and knew what this man was up to...I think u really need to reset ur moral compus.

To think that folks now want to remove Joe Pareno from the whole incident by claiming "he did all he could," while sitting wanting to blame everyone from McQueary to these kid's parents are as sick and twisted as what Sandusky was doing, IMO.

At last check, Joe was suppose to be like a father and grandfather to guys like McQueary. So I can see why he would go to him first and not the police.

Plus, judging by what took place, I'll bet Penn State is part of a small community where certain folks are held in high esteem. So those with power and clout are quick to want to shove things like this under the rug if the person quietly go away. But For anyone to want to now spin this and claim that a McQueary should have just taken it upon himself to confront Standusky while in the act or call the same police department and attorney who allowed Standusky to walk when it was clear he admitted to them his actions and they slapped him on the wrisk, u need ur head checked.

Heck, if Standusky's peers and Joe, his boss, weren't outraged enough to fire his ass and have the police escort his behind off campus when the incident was first made known, but instead simply ask him not to perform his perversion on campus, then how do u suspect McQueary running to the police would have save innocent boys?

Here's one for u...Why didn't Joe take McQueary with him to the head of the school and the police and have him tell them what he saw seeing how much clout and power he has in Penn State judging by the behavior of those student at last night?

It now seems many hurt students of Penn State a trying to scape-goat McQueary for Joe the same way Ohio State students scape-goat Terrell Pryor for Tessler. Sick

FYI, To those with power and clout much responsibility is expected.

This Penn State scandal is knee deep in ironies it's not funny anymore.

Footballisasport...

Where did I say Joe Pa did all he could? Where did I put all the blame on McQueary?

In fact, I pretty much said the opposite of both of those points.

Secondly, what is a "moral compus"?

I don't think there's anyone person that can be blamed other than that f*cking fine young male pedo Sandusky. Outside of him, I think there is plenty of equal blame to go around. My point was that there were so many instances where multiple people could stop this, and no one did. They all did the bare minimum and didn't follow up to make sure something was done.

How the f*ck could someone see something so disturbingly sick and know that a child has been hurt and permanently scarred and wipe their hands of it? Wouldn't you feel a responsibility to see that the person that caused this child harm would never have the chance to do it again? IF YOU SAW THAT, you have that responsibility IMO. IF YOU HEARD THAT, you have the responsibility to ensure it is investigated and proven true or false and handled accordingly.

No one did that. They passed it on to someone else and let it be. That's why I suspect A LOT of people knew, and for unknown reasons - most likely that powerful people were in the know or involved - they did nothing. That is inexcusable.

Oh please, Joe threw himself under the bus when he didn't have Standusky fired the moment McQueary told him what he saw. Standusky should have been on an extremely short leash with the school. It's not like they were shocked by his behavior. Especially since it's stated in the indicment that he was told by the school when they found out, not to continue to bring young boys onto the campus. Who the fug say things like that to an ADULT.

Can't wait for u folks to start blaming the parents.

FYI here is a site with more lurid details of this grown man running aound PA with young boys and getting caught in compromising postions with them and those in a position of power not caring enough to have him arrested. It seems that whole community in Penn State need to go to jail.

God you really don't read poo do you....Sandusky was already retired in 2002 when McQueary caught him. That doesn't excuse anyone from PSU's lack of action but learn to fuging read, it's really not that hard....

No...The coach was one of those in an authoritive postion to do something about Standusky..Penn State and TPTB COVER UP WHAT THIS MAN WAS DOING TO SAVE THE SCHOOL'S IMAGE.

Here is a clear outline of the sordid story from the GRAND JURY REPORT....http://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/264787/grand-jury-report.pdf

Can't believe u folks are shifting the real blame to a McQueary...the only person who was seem to have been out of the loop as to who this Standusky guy was at the time.

It's Sandusky, and the reason people are pissed about McQueary is because he witnessed the act and didn't do a damn thing to stop it. As a man (and no I don't have any kids yet), there is no way in hell I wouldn't incapacitate someone if I saw them molesting a child. I don't care if he's five times my size, I find something to use as a weapon and go postal on him....hell by the time I was done, I would probably be in a cop car handcuffed riding right behind the sick fugs ambulance....
