At Least We've Still Got James Anderson.

Recommended Posts

I love the way James Anderson is playing. One play that comes to mind was his face-off with Drew Brees a few weeks ago. They both made about three adjustments apiece at the line of scrimmage, then the play ended with a James Anderson tackle for loss. He's taken over leadership of this young defense and he's not making boneheaded penalties like Big Money did yesterday. That being said, 52 is 52 and I'd take him over the love child of Dick Butkus and Lawrence Taylor.

I don't think our fanbase appreciates him enough. He's pretty much the only player on this defense right now, outside of the secondary. Yall are on Charles Johnson's dick 24/7, and although he's good, he's not that good.

Anderson on the other hand...

LOL!!! So here we go with the "Charles Johnson is not that good talk". I wonder who is next to get classified as overrated?? Smh... the way some people in this fanbase talk, we dont deserve any great players aint nothin ever good enough.

I never said CJ wasn't good, but I don't see what he has done to deserve all the credit he gets from the Huddle.

And Beason is a top 3 LB in the league for sure, but I'm just pointing out that Anderson has been playing with the fire, the drive, and the intensity to be considered one of the best. Talent wise, maybe not, but straight talent isn't everything.

Most underrated player not only on this team, but in the entire NFL.

In my opinion, he has played at, if not above, Beason's level over the past 3 seasons. And note that Beason was a Pro Bowler.

Nobody outside of our fanbase has any idea who James Anderson is, yet we always hear his name 5 times more per game than any other defensive player.

He seems like he plays with a chip on his shoulder, and I hope he starts getting a bit more credit for what he does. It'd be nice to hear him get an interview once in a while, because he seems like a genuinely nice, humble guy.

Edit: View it how you wish, but I think he's played as good as Beason. He may not be as talented, as athletic, etc as Beas, but he's played at the same level in my eyes.

...knock on wood...

When was the last time Anderson actually made a "play". I'm not talking about a tackle. I am talking about how many times does he have a drive changing play? *crickets*

I like Anderson and all, but he is no Beason. Beason could take over a game. That is the difference between a good player and a great player.

Shame on you for looking at stats and saying Anderson is playing at/above Beason's level.

i think he's great, but not better than beason. not better than TD *when healthy*.

he's great at what he does, but he shouldn't be the best LB on the field. we've got to find someone on the other side and beason has to play it smart in his recovery rather than trying to be a warrior and get out there before he's really ready.
