One thing Cam needs to do when he runs

He needs to stop all of that unnecessary juking. There was at least three times where he could have powered his way to moving the chains, but fell short everytime because of that juking, causing him to fall flat on his face inches short of a first down. Cam, when you see the first down marker, run straight ahead and get the first down!

I dissagree. That juking as you call it is him avoiding power shots. I don't want Anyone getting a clean hit on my franchise qb and if that what he's got to do to not get hurt fine. See if you can make someone miss to get the first but dont go payton hillis. The kid already has a sore shoulder don't want that turning into separated. Point is if u can make someone miss and pick up the first on a broken play great. if not live fo fight another day.

I understand that, but if you look at the tape, he jukes a lot of times before the defender is even in his immediate area. Most of the time, he falls flat on his face because of it, probably because his body size can't handle the change of direction. It's just embarrasing to watch at times when he falls flat inches from the first down marker. Look at The Golden Calf of Bristol. Cam should take some notes from him in the running area.

I would agree about 90% of the time; But, in a game where nothing is getting done of offense and you NEED to get first downs just to get anything going, it is disappointing to see him slide down, like, one yard from the first down when if he had just ran straight ahead he would have had it easily. I know he did that at least once that I specifically remember.

Also, someone needs to teach him to slide. He looks like a floundering bull when he goes down intentionally.

i've never once been embarrassed watching our QB try to make plays

i'm more embarrassed by the fact that he has to do damn near everything by himself tho

Are you COMPLETELY insane?

Under no circumstances do i want my Franchise QB "powering" his way to being tackled. That is a great way to see him end up on IR.

    • Watching Williams last night, guy has an arm and nfl ability  i see no future with Young.  either a player has nfl ability or they dont  cant survive on 20 or less points a game
    • Fowler: Bucs 23, Panthers 16. Baker Mayfield only won a single game when he was an unimpressive Carolina starter, but somehow he’s 5-0 when playing AGAINST the Panthers. For the Panthers to pull off this upset, they’ll need to score at least in the mid-20s. With Tampa Bay relatively healthy following a mini-bye (and Mike Evans’ return is huge), it feels like this will be too tough a task. Kaye: Bucs 24, Panthers 20. The win-loss-win-loss streak comes to an end. It’s hard to trust the play-calling following the loss to the New Orleans Saints. The Panthers know what’s on the line, but they also knew last week, too. It’ll be close; I just have trouble trusting a positive outcome after a defeating one on the road. Zietlow: Panthers 38, Bucs 35. This prediction goes against conventional wisdom, but then again, conventional wisdom doesn’t seem to apply to these Panthers. This group, after all, has yet to lose back-to-back contests since Weeks 1 and 2. I think they win this one to make Week 18 interesting — and yes, that’s even with motivated Baker Mayfield and future Hall of Famer Mike Evans in good form. Why not?
    • Sam developed into a different player after he mostly sat for a year and learned a ton by being in that QB room under Shannahan in San Francisco.  Then he went to the Vikings who have a poo load of talent and another genius level offensive mind at HC in Kevin O Connel. I think they genuinely built up his confidence in a way he never did in New York or Charlotte.  He would not have been the same player if he stayed here IMO. Especially if he had been involved in that disaster season with Frank Reich in 2023, that might have cooked his confidence for good.  I guess you could argue we wouldn't have been that bad if we also kept cmc and dj i guess.
