but.. ah... but where is most of the D?
well...it's hurt an d on the sidelines...which is why i'm not freaking out about it. they lost because the defense didn't have enough talent on the field to get the job done. not because of cam newton.

Throwing three interceptions helped them score.

He's not immune to criticism because he threw for 400+ to start the season.

Sure, they helped...

but keep in mind that only 1 TD came after an interception, and that Cam tied the game at 35 when he'd thrown a total of two interceptions. The defense gave that tie up, then his next 2 INTs came.

Cam did not play well, Cam was part of our loss, but defense really let us down today.

The thing people need to realize is that WE KNOW the defense is fuging garbage.

They have and will give up 30+ points EVERY game.

The Colts will put 30+ on us, we just have to keep scoring and at least do ball control and flip field position if we don't score on a drive.

We can't have turnovers, 0, none.

Doesn't matter whose fault it is honestly because if we turn it over its gg.

I totally agree KillerKat Chud is a moron in the 2nd half

HOWEVER...

In this particular game there were WIDE OPEN players down the field for us, the play call sucked but the play was there to be made...

If the D stepped up, we would've won and Cam wouldn't have had to try to make home run pass plays that Chud calls at the end which resulted in 2 INTs. Then we wouldn't be bitching about him or talking about the wide open receivers. Also, we dont know why he missed those open guys. Was there a defender rushing on the same side as that open receiver? Was Chud telling him where he needs to throw? Is he just a rookie playing like a rookie? We don't know. Point is if the defense steps up, we wouldn't be talking about it.

2 of those ints came in garbage time when cam was trying to tie back up the game because our defense again gave up a fugging touchdown.

I saw some overthrows from cam and im not happy about the ints, but christ sakes what do you expect to happen when we have to score a td pretty much every damn drive.

    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
