We'd be the same. Offensively there are very few problems. Chud is agressive as all get out, but I like it. I like the fact that we go for the big play. I've got no complaints with our offense.

Our defense is another story. I don't blame Rivera or McDermott. These are Fox and Hurney guys (depth guys at that). I don't put it all on injuries, as I just don't think there is a ton of talent on that defense: Gamble, Anderson, Johnson, and possibly Godfrey are the only starting quality players I see

It's tough to point to which game we would have won if our balance was better... honestly if our defense had been just a smidgen better I would have said the Lions game, but in that game it was pretty clear that our defense wasn't going to stop poo. I dunno, without looking back at the games too closely maybe also NO, so at best 5-6, more likely 3-8 or 4-7 possibly. I do think that if we'd run more, other offenses wouldn't have had the same time to score on us, especially in the second half, but when your defense gives up what seems a touchdown on every other drive, it's hard to really try to argue much about offense losing us games.

really my complaint is more that I think we have to make better use of our running backs in all phases of the game. They are two of our best players on offense, and it often feels like they are relegated to first down carries and a chance at a third down dropoff if the defense doesn't bring pressure.

we have 365 passing attempts, 259 rushing attempts... that's not including sacks, busted plays, or how many of Cam's 77 rushes have been scrambles that were pass plays.

284 rushing attempts, 392 passing attempts.

We are developing Cam so we are going to pass more. We are starting to even it out and by next season we should be around 50/50. Rivera made it clear that its a process and that we will have a Balanced attack.

50/50 split wouldn't make this team better and it wouldn't have won us more games.

it isn't important to have it any more.

if you strive to have a 50/50 balance, you shoot yourself in the leg. you do what it takes to win.

I don't think a "perfect split" is necessary but I do think we have lost games by forcing Cam to make throws in an effort to develop him instead of continuing drives or making better use of our RBs in the red zone.
