Freeman also has a shoulder injury

Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman did not throw in practice Wednesday and is day-to-day with a right shoulder injury, coach Raheem Morris said.

Freeman was injured on a fourth-and-1 quarterback sneak in which he fumbled the snap in the Bucs' 23-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans Sunday.

Morris said Freeman participated in some hand offs but did not attempt any passes in practice Wednedsay. He said Freeman will take mental reps the remainder of the week and could play if he is able to throw well enough by Saturday or even before the game Sunday.

"He hurt his shoulder at the end of the game on that sneak, the bobbled sneak,'' Morris said. "He got tackled and kind of hurt his shoulder. It's sore. Right now, he's day-to-day. We were hoping he'd be able to be full go today. He was limited. We'll have an opportunity to hopefully evaluate him tomorrow and the day after that and get him going to see whether he'll get a chance to play.''

I personally am not concerned about the other team. I'm more concerned with the Panther's defense acting like every Sunday is Christmas. A team can have the 3 string QB coming off the bench with one week of practice. If the Panthers' defense sit there and allow the QB to have free reign of the field on Sunday, it can make for a long 60 minutes.

    • He was so much fun to watch as a player but is a prototypical example of the old "never meet your heroes" adage. Great player, not a great guy.
    • Look.... if us BY "haters" give credit about his GWDs...... Will the BY stans also have honest discussion about the 55minutes before the last 5 in which BY has put up 9/20 for 78 yards 0 TDs???
    • The way they are handling now is how they should have handled it from the start instead of that you get a series, you a get a series. Let Chuba spell until he had some of his step back.  We definitely could have put a better showing against Buffalo and their weak run defense had we employed the same game plan we did against Green Bay. Saints were determined to stop the run and make Bryce beat them, Atlanta had similar plan and the coaches and Bryce were able to respond.  Rico although didnt have the best rushing game was vital in the passing game and his catch and run help get us into the redzone there at the end of regulation probably should have been a touchdown that out of bounds was a judgement call it wasn't conclusive and thus should have went with the original call on the field.  Roco brings that dawg to the offense that it shorely lacked up until Miami game. Interesting it was his call that help seal the win for us, glad the coaches were listening. Hope they can get a deal done and run it back next year.
