On to the Texans....

The Texans are 10-3 and on a 5 game win streak.

Sadly, don't see us winning this game unless they completely overlook us.

Tampa may be our only win left, leaving us at 5-11, My preseason prediction.

Would you want to see the team rise to 8-8 and a mid round draft pick?

7 Game win streak....

Have you watched TJ ?

Yes I have and am not overly impressed. Panthers give themselves a fair chance at winning by mounting a lot of early points and forcing Yates to beat them by throwing the ball. Difference between the Packers, Bears, Saints, Lions, and Falcons-all team the Panthers have gone up early on- is those teams have the ability to let their QB win the games. The Texans have done a solid job of protecting Yates from having to make big time throws or decisions. They've allowed their strong running attack and good defense to win their games and let Yates manage it for them. The Texans are a good team, very complete, but they don't have the comeback capability of the previous teams we've played without Schaub and especially if Andre Johnson isn't healthy in time.

Come on we can beat the Texans. They have TJ Yates as QB. Their defense is solid though.

You can't use the TJ Yates thing anymore...dude has played very well against much better defenses than ours. The reason for that is because they have the best running game in the league and he won't have to throw the ball against us period. I see this as a loss, it'll be a good game though.

You must have missed the Cincinnati game then....

Hope to win every game possible, no losing for better draft picks plzthx

"His conclusions:

--Teams that cost themselves draft position by winning "meaningless" games performed substantially better across the board over the next three seasons.

--Teams winning at the end of a losing season eventually won more games, made the playoffs a much higher percentage of the time, and advanced to conference championship games a much higher percentage of the time in subsequent seasons.

--The draft position "sliders" (i.e., teams that slid down the draft chart by winning more late games) won 16.3 percent more of their games and made the playoffs twice as often over their subsequent three seasons, a substantial increase in a league designed for parity."

So basically, teams that finished 5-11 made the playoffs more the next years versus teams that went 2-14?? hmmmm

    • After watching Dan for 3 yrs now, I think I understand his plan. It’s a simple plan that should work for the long run.     I saw some of this last yr. Dan wants a vet and a young player at each position. I really think we go OT if one they like there. Moton is aging, Icky will not be back until 27, if ever. We need to get ahead of the tackle problem
    • You are just stressing too much about these particular positions. You want to upgrade from Bryce and I understand that but you aren’t going to really get that without getting into a bidding war for a QB2 potential QB1 like Willis. You could possibly trade for Mills or the backup for Chicago but they are still gambles and their teams will won’t decent picks.  Again the Eagles thought KP was a capable enough backup to trade for him once their backup was hurt and won a Super Bowl with him as QB2. The point is most teams aren’t rolling with some stud QB2/3 that is going to push even a bottom tier starter. They are better off the building their roster in other areas. The Rams are rolling with Bennett right now as QB2 for example.  The goal is winning absolutely. We overachieved last year even with stumbling into the playoffs. Another year and this staff needs to take the next step in building a team. Will Grier has little to no impact on that….
    • Three straight first round WRs is straight up Matt Millen poo. Considering the draft capital we have tied up on Bryce after that trade we would basically have spent damn near all of our draft capital in recent years on QB and WR just to put one of the most anemic passing offenses in the league on the field. Clown show poo.
