Positive Newton Stat

CRA

Recommended Posts

We all know Newton has the talent to dominate....even as a rookie. His issue is just learning the game and most importantly his DECISION making in the passing game.

Cam has several multiple INT games so far this season. It will happen w/ a rookie.

But if you look at his record he has followed up everyone of those multiple INT games with a WIN and no INTS.

This will be his toughest one in my view. Texans have the best defense we've played all year. If he plays well this week, it'll speak volumes on his maturity and his willingness to respond to pretty much a horrible game by his standards.

eh, they are a good D but I think overall Cam has already seen comparable ones.

Houston has played 1 top 10 offense all season.

They also have played the

32nd

32nd

31st

29th

24th

20th

19th

18th

ranked offenses.

When your offensive opponents break down like that.....it makes you look pretty dang good on paper. Not saying the Texans don't have a D....but they are more of just your standard top 10 caliber D.

When you are about to face a team you don't try to downplay how good they are. That concept works better when you are trying to compare teams that won't play each other.

this is similar to fans getting loud when the Panthers have the ball

I am a NFL fan. Discussing teams has no impact on anything. I can think we will beat Tampa by 75 next time we face them....me overlooking them means little.

If Carolina wasn't on Houston's schedule....I would make the same point when discussing them.

    • Such a dumb pick and most of us knew it Ladd would’ve been the perfect match with Bryce But instead they draft XL to fill the void at the X spot because we had a 34 year old Adam Thielen. Then a year later we draft a real X WR and move XL inside where he has absolutely no business being for a list of reasons
    • My logic was hopefully a new HC would have a LOT quicker hook for Bryce. But, that is assuming they would even be allowed. I guess that's a call to the owner's box for permission.
    • I’m not overly defending the pick. I was team Stroud by a country mile but I also knew what to expect as far as ceiling goes with Bryce  I had concerns with Bryce’s arm strength and size. Neither seem to overly be an issue. He’s proven to throw with enough anticipation that he makes up for a lack of velocity. I was worried about the way he played in college not translating to the league. Spending 8 seconds behind LOS. I did also think it would take Young a few years for him to reach his full potential. I also think he’s too smart and accurate to flat out bust which all of seems to be pretty accurate Bryce is someone you can absolutely win with. No one thought he’d be the type to carry a well below average supporting cast to a Super Bowl. He’s fully capable of giving you those 4-5 special plays a game that help your team win. And then you have those rare times where he’s the reason you win like in Atlanta.  All good teams have more than just a QB.  Even the teams that are winning this year all have a lot more than what we have. Supporting cast/defense… more than what we have  As far as Morgan goes I 100% agree. Fwiw he was legit team Bryce during the draft process. I know that for a fact. Last years draft is a complete write off. This past draft still up for debate. TMac and Scourton look solid. I can’t remember the last time I saw Princely win a rep and I’m being honest. Ransom has a little value. I think ETN is a nice insurance add. Evans could be a TE2.    I think this offseason Morgan will get aggressive with trying to land a pass rusher. Whether that’s a trade for Crosby, signing Hendrickson, it’s going to be top priority. We need a ILB. I really like Kaden Ellis. Sonny Styles should be in our draft range. We also need a tight end and it would be interesting to see this offseason with Kenyon Sadiq
