Cam's Stats

Cam currently has 3,722 passing yards, 609 Rushing yards, 17 Passing TDs and 13 Rushing TDs.

Has another QB ever put up #'s like this, much less in a rookie season?

I looked at Vick's #s and his best (combined) yardage year was last season with 3,018 passing and 676 Rushing, 21 passing TD's and 9 Rushing TDs.

Cam is on pace to break 4,000 passing yards and 700 rushing yards, and he really doesn't even run the ball on planned rushes very much.

I'm mainly talking to myself just because I am so impressed with him.

I would love to see Cameron finish the year with 20 passing TDs and no more INTs. He would have better #'s than Jake our '03 Super Bowl year. Cameron also trails The Golden Calf of Bristol by a yard for most rushing yards by a QB. Goin into the last 2 games of the season its gonna come down to those two.

Where would 4700 yards fall on the NFL total offense list all-time, I wonder?

I think Brees has the record with total offense.

2008 Drew Brees (29) 4,976

But, he and Brady are about to break that again with their records this season.

But, it is without doubt the rookie record.

Yeah, and they use The Golden Calf of Bristol like a RB... we play Cam as a true QB.

No real comparison there.

Just think this is his rookie year. The only problem with scrambling Qbs is that they seem to get injured a lot. Cam knows when to slide to avoid the tackle but its only a matter of time before he gets a good hit on him that will take him out of the game. I just hope Jimmy Clausen isn't our back-up qb if he does go down.

One positive stat I keep seeing in games about Cams rushing ability is that he leads the NFL in 3rd down rushes for a 1st down. This proves that he is a clutch runner.

One problem with him running the ball so much is that it takes away carries from our great Rbs who already split carries which is why none of our backs have had a 100 yard game nor a 1,000 yard season.

Thanks.

So if that page is accurate then IF Cam (for arguments sake) gets 4700 yds of total offense exactly, he will (yardage-wise at least) have had the 7th most successful season as a QB in NFL history.

Check me here... is that correct?

Well, it would actually end up being 10th. Because the list would now include the seasons by Brees, Brady, and Rodgers.

But still impressive nonetheless.

Also, this number of Total Offense is calculated by,

Passing Yards+Rushing Yards - yards lost by sacks = Total Offense.

Currently, according to this site, Cam has 4100 yards of total offense this season, which is 5th in the league behind, Brees, Brady, Rodgers, and Manning.

Still getting hard to see him getting 4700, 4600 is more likely.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
