What do you expect our LB core to look like 2012?

I'm guessing that our LB corps will include Beason, TD, Anderson, Senn, maybe Thomas Williams if they can cool him off, Gaither, and then a FA or rookie. My favorite FA is David Hawthorne and if we're picking at 10+ by finish 6-10 or 7-9 I wouldn't mind getting Zach Brown or Luke Keuchly. Maybe we could get Lavonte David in the second.

I cannot understand those that think we will keep Gaither. As banged up as we are at LB, this guy is riding the pine. Add to that he is a vet with a higher salary, and I see no reason at all to keep him. Find someone younger and cheaper that also excels at special teams.

LOLB - Thomas Davis / Jordan Senn (starter quality?)

MLB - Jon Beason / Dan Connor (staying?)

ROLB - James Anderson / ???

Who do we pickup in F/A? Mario Williams, Lawrence Timmons, Anthony Spencer?

Who do we pick up in the draft?

Are those 3-4 OLB's just there for entertainment value? There's virtually no chance of Williams coming here. I seriously doubt he leaves Houston.

I see Senn- Beason and Anderson starting. I think Connor leaves for a starting gig with a crap team like St. Louis, Cleveland, etc.

CB 2 is my biggest concern right now, that and FS.

I would not be surprised to see the team ask TD to lose 15-20 lbs and move him back to his college position of safety in the nickel and dime package. This takes pressure off the knee and allows him to operate in space without the tangled collisions with 300 lb OL. These packages are often used more than 50% of defensive plays in any game. With the new emphasis on big strong TEs, he could be our answer to controlling a Graham, Gonzalez, and Winslow.

Doubt it. This isn't Madden.

    • Been here since middle school right when it started around 2003 after the charlotte.com one. Living outside of Carolina it was tough to find good Panthers content, news or analysis. And no one to talk to about it. This place gave me a lot though I don’t often post. In the later days, I particularly Loved PhillyB’s write ups. They were fire. Too bad I go let it go. I appreciate the hell out of @MHS831 @TheSpecialJuan @Jackie Lee and others who have been posting great content and keeping this place worth coming back to. Particularly during the offseason. Appreciate y’all!
    • Nice explanation, but I was just messing with you. Thought that would be obvious. I dont have the energy to keep on trolling. Last season I compared our situation with Bryce as a potential Alex Smith, but what we should be looking for is our version of Mahomes. Some people will read that as one sentence, to me that single sentence is equivalent to a half A4 explanationf of the teams pathway forward.
    • I dont know how much of his salary would come across and how much a trade would cost but I feel Kmet would be the sort of TE Canales and Morgan would like
