The Panthers won't be drafting in the Top 10 if they win the next two games.

It depends as far as we can fall is 11 overall. We just needs to finish this season strong at 7-9. If the Dolphins,Blls, and Redskins can pull wins we will be alright. The eagles are slotted at 11 right now and they are 6-8. I think they win there next two games.

we took a chance on Brandon Hogan.... granted much later in the draft. We signed a guy like Shockey where majority hated him before he became a Panther..

Smitty was just quoted (in my sig) saying we want more Punch you in the Mouth type guys...

Who would you have the Buccs take there? They have a QB,RB,WR,TE,andOL.

Donald Penn is average. Jeremy Trueblood is horrible. In general, the Bucs line play overall is not good and their pass protections are god-awful.

They need OL and they need an elite OT in a bad way. One that can start at LT and then maybe they can slide Penn over to RT.

If he's still there, they should take Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa.

Upgrade your line = upgrade your QB play and running game. Much better than taking a flyer on a reach like Dre Kirkpatrick who a practice squad player on the Panthers (Darvin Adams) could regularly make look bad.

Its is NEVER a bad thing to take a quality lineman, defense or offense, in the Top Ten of the NFL draft. It is quite often a bad thing to "reach" for need in the Top Ten... especially on defensive backs.

Burfict has tons of potential talent wise, he is just over the top with his competitivness. That said, its easier to reel a guy in and teach self control than give him something he just doesn't have. I like Burfict, but the only way I say take him is if he falls into the 2nd, which could very well happen.

I like Burfict's upside as a LB but he just didn't put up the kind of numbers you look for in a top 10 pick (69 total tackles and 5 sacks). His maturity issues are a red flag as well...I don't see a team going after him in the top of the first round. I could see a team like Pittsburgh or GB taking him at the end of the 1st round because of their locker room and established defensive leaders but IDT he's a good pick for a young team.

I'd much rather have a guy like Keuchly if we are really looking for a linebacker. Let him play the middle and move Beason outside.

Another guy to look at as a long term backup is Russell Wilson if he makes it to free agency. He is mobile enough to run this offense and has an above average arm as well. Great leader to put in that locker room as well.
