I have no negative or positive qualms about Derp Derp, but he was dealt a nasty hand with this defense. Rivera and Hurney should be ashamed to have fielded these guys.

Its sucks. but im gonna wait till our DC has a full offseason to work w/his D. and see what he can do w/a full roster of 11 NFL caliber starters on D ,before i pass judgment on him.

Our whole defensive backfield, except Gamble has had major breakdowns. Our DL (esp. DTs) can't apply any pressure to a QB; leads to imprved blocking againt our DEs & LBs. LBs are trying to hold up, but talent deficient since injuries. Safeties, esp. Martin, as you said have missed some major assignments; Godfrey has been average...not a major liability or asset.

All that being said, McDermott was behind the 8-ball. My hope lies in the fact that Rivera will be able to spend more time this off-season with McDermott, so he can install & instill his principles for the D in our DC. I don't have a lot of faith in McDermott himself.

talent is one thing but the constant wide open receivers is annoying a the least if players aren't doing there job replace them simple..........if were gonna get scorched by colston there shouldn't be any reason jimmy is doing the same hell double one of them and have gamble on colston(notice most of colstons catches were against zone) by all means im not a proffesional but i know more then the average about football. and the way the front four was playing you'd have to send alb blizting every play smh. But by all means martin made some of the most awfuls plays ive seen from someone getting paid millions smh

Beason was able to cover WRs at times, remember the game last year where he made a leaping pass deflection downfield to seal a game at the end (I think it was Arizona), but Anderson is no Beason.
