start this defense over from scratch

This is what i've been saying for weeks, he's going to go the way of the Predator(Who still remembers him?). But the ENTIRE defense is at fault tonight, from Gamble to Godfrey to Hardy to Senn(Jesus who said he was good!?)

Yeah, we got bitch slapped today. Our entire secondary has forgotten how to tackle, and our Dline is just getting manhandled. 564 yds allowed (so far) - a new team record and a new benchmark for disgrace.

Hardy has been a disappointment. He's a hard hitter, he has a high motor, but he cannot rush the passer worth a hoot. And don't give me these pressure stats, all that says to me is he failed to sack the QB.:D

The bad thing about it is, there's really no one to replace him. My dream is to get Mario Williams, other than that, we are doomed.

    • I know teams have been selling out to stop the run, but Ricos kind of fallen off a cliff.. not sure if hes hurt or just worn down but even when theres a hole he doesnt look anything like he did those few weeks prior.
    • nah, that's basically saying people can't call a spade a spade.  Which is crazy.  89 is not a good dude.  He might have done a couple good things but it will never erase what he has proven to be in front of the world.  I tell my kid all the time not to view celebrity athletes as anything but people that play a sport well.  Lot of garbage humans play on Sunday.   And you have no clue who the good guys actually are.  PR in today's world is also powerful.  There was a window when Deshawn Watson checked every good guy box that could ever existed from the public's perspective.
    • Some folks say it's because teams are playing more shell defenses preventing more longer passes.  The analytics folks would rather you pass for 7 years every down.  As you state, the crop of QBs is mixed as far as quality. I think when you put it all together, it's a recipe for less passing yards.
