Mr. Anderson

Yep.

It's more important to me of how many of those tackles were at or behind the line of scrimmage, no gain or a loss then him just making a tackle +10 or +20 beyond the line of scrimmage.

Anderson is a serviceable outside LB and nothing more. I like him but to me that's all he is, same for Connor and Senn. He has more speed than those two but he is hardly an elite or above average linebacker.

lol Anderson is far superior to just being serviceable, which is why we resigned him. A older player like Edwards is a serviceable DT. A 28 year old LB that has bloomed under Beasons wing and just had almost 150 tackle season in between a poo dlin, poo secondary and next two two poo LBs for a period of time, is a bit more. For the whole season he has been out there. You'd think poeple would take notice on what we have when we have it as much as everyone likes to bitch about injuries. Anderson is a good starter. Beason is much better than Anderson but comparing them is dumb.

Anderson is waaaaaay better than Senn or Connor.

I hate to agree with some, but Anderson is at his best when there are top tier LBs around him. He's had some great and fantastic games this year, but fundamentally he's also really struggled in other games. He's good and I'm glad we extended him, but he's no where near as good as some think he is.

Anderson deserves a new contract. He's a very good OLB and if we can get Beason back and another LB in there to play with them he'll be even better next year. DTs would be nice too so that our LBs didn't have to take on 300lb OL every play.

He's only just got a new contract...

7/29/2011: Signed a five-year, $22 million contract. The deal contains $8.5 million guaranteed, including a $7 million signing bonus and $1.5 million of Anderson's second-year salary.

?? that's a pretty good deal.

    • I may be way off base, let’s include this in that questions thread, but with the way the offensive staff turned on each other in 2023 I am happy to see anyone involved, gone. I had a bad feeling about Caldwell over it.
    • No poo tho you might could Jenkins for Legette. They got nothing at WR after the big 2 in Cincy. I don’t think you trade away OL depth. Could get a quality player in cuts. Really that 3-4 end spot what you should be looking for is someone who is stout with long arms and can push back the OL in both the run and pass game for others to make plays…. But we signed Wharton, sometimes I think Evero is a fraud ass nerd who should be an analyst at best.
    • you would honestly probably do Monroe Freeling more of a disservice by putting him in a position where is not yet ready to succeed. .we all knew Monroe Freeling struggled at the NFL combine in drills because of technique related issues & would need time to develop  & now all of a sudden before they even put the pads on Monroe Freeling is somehow a starting LT in the NFL ? if he struggled at the NFL scouting combine what do you actually think is going to happen in a live NFL game at LT ? .even our best LT of all time was not ready to start at LT when he was a rookie & he turned out to be a pretty good darn LT by the name of Jordan Gross ...just saying be patient Young Jedis
