That's very close to my nightmare scenario. Shula is a capable QB coach but I have absolutely zero faith that he could step in and run an offense that could even compete with this one, let alone one that would equal this success.

If Chud takes a job elsewhere I'm sacrificing every farm animal I can think of that we bring in someone from the outside.

I know Chud is a hot commodity and we could lose him, but Shula as OC? there has to be better options than him that we would consider.

i don't see norv as being nearly as creative as chud.

If Chud leaves, it's an automatic step back anyways. I'm not picking Turner over Chud, I'm simply saying that Turner would bring a similar offense that would be much more sustained and consistent if Chud decides to leave.

we are running a coryell+

quite a few things in the playbook that was added to the coryell. i don't see norv as being the creative mind needed to take the team forward.

it would have to be someone younger and more creative, imo.

plus, i can't see norv wanting to take a job as an assistant to his old assistant.

Are you pointing that towards me? I'm not sure what you're asking. I can say that if you look at Norv Turner's history (ie: Success in Dallas and San Diego), he knows a thing or two about the same offense Chud runs, which would be a smooth transition if Chud decides to be a HC.

And I'm not sure why Norv wouldn't want to come to a team under a man he helped develop while he's in the twilight of his career and have large amounts of freedom with a deadly offense.

All of this is just based on whether Chud decides to leave or not.

I'm sure we would replace him with a very good and similar OC. Even if it is a good up and coming one that nobody has heard much of. We aren't just going to settle for someone. They will only hire someone for the position that is equally creative and agressive as Chud. I would imagine a lot of OCs would want to come here because of Cam and all that they could do with our offense.
