Just to let you know how highly they thought of Payton, Johnny Unitas was sixth. Another Bear, Dick Butkus, was number ten.

He was amazing, and the best I ever saw at RB, as the position encompasses more than just running the football.

Walter had a desire unlike any back I have ever seen. He took it personally when someone tackled him. He ran like someone was trying to kill him. It was beautiful to watch.
