SoundFx Saints vs Panthers

Not tryin to be a "troll". This is all Saints highlights but thought ya'll might wanna see it. Proves that Saints aren't "classless" like most on this board say. Brees and Payton at the end talking about taking a knee to be respectful and not run up the score. Also looks like Payton and Rivera have a lot of respect for each other at the end. Cool behind the scenes of some of the calls by the refs.

ya, um....no one here has ever said Brees is classless.

Most of the comments are geared toward Greg Williams and the Saints D. They are cheap and dirty. Payton at this point has shown he accepts that.

I think they are "nasty" which is a dirty in a good way. I think Suh is "dirty" in that he purposefully tries to injure people. Hitting Smith late in the endzone was definately "cheap" I will give you that. But not like he was trying to hurt him or anything.

I was thinking Martin had 2 obvious blown plays for TDs (or at least was there to stop them)..

but I forgot about that Chris Ivory TD where Martin took a bad angle to try and save the TD...

edit: add another TD to that... dude got picked on all day for obvious reasons...

sorry, but if Smitty didn't luckly turn at the last moment(so he wasn't defenseless).....that type of blind hit to a defenseless player could easily result in injury.

Suh is dirty. Roman Harper is dirty. Saints and Lions are both coached in the same manner. I got no problem if you want to embrace it.....I just don't like people attempting to deny it. There have been a lot of dirtier teams in NFL history....but the Saints without a doubt are coached to play dirty. It was why they have been called out on it by several teams this year.....and guys like Smith early on were ready for it (b/c it is on film for seasons now under Williams)

nope. your DC tells them to do the very same thing that suh does.

saints D is dirty.

your DC orders it.

your players oblige

your head coach allows it.

dirty.

btw..."not trying to hurt him?" nice blinders you got on there.

You think thats the only time the saints of tried to cheap shot steve smith?

Remember the fujita cheap shot???

it's pretty vocal that they go out to hit people low and after the whistle.

    • I've shown you numerous comps for other tackles in the same age and talent range.  His contract, taking into account his age, health, etc.  is the going rate.  It's a fair deal. I've shown you examples of how long it usually takes to find even an average replacement.  Hell, look at every tackle that has ever started for the Panthers.  How many would you consider a success?  They are not easy to find. After everything we've done with this team since drafting Bryce why would we decide to let our best linemen go and add a huge question mark at tackle?   FA is a crapshoot in which any guy available will have cons/issues.  If not, they'll cost a fortune.   Outside of a first or maybe 2nd round pic next year it'll take a few years for a tackle to learn the position at the NFL level.  There are still questions about Icky. Every vet NFL player deals with maintenance.  Between the contract value and history I'm not overly worried about his knee.  I contend his knee issue isn't anything to be overly worried about.  It's not zero risk but it's an acceptable risk.  Every player we draft and every contract we sign has risk.  You're blowing up his own negative words about his knees and ignoring him saying he is healthy and the knee is a non issue.  You have a strong chicken little complex with this team.  Being he has always been a Panther they are very aware of any health issues. We paid now because now is cheaper.  If his knee was really an issue they would have waited.  That tells me it's not the issue you want it to be.
