1st Mock: http://www.carolinahuddle.com/forum/the-nfl-draft/72967-louts-mock-1-0-a.html

I am not going to project any trades like many are. I like to keep my mock's as realistic as possible. I will, however, provide a mock of what we 'should' do by trading down.

1st Round: Devon Still, Penn St - DT 6'5" 310lbs

TOP PRO COMPARISON: Richard Seymour or Ziggy Hood

2nd Round: Chase Minnifield, UVA - CB 6' 185lbs

TOP PRO COMPARISON: Asante Samuel

Here is what I think we (should) do. Trade down, gather an extra 2nd round pick.

#16 - Devon Still

#40 - Chase Minnifield

#48 - Mark Barron or Markelle Martin FS

The rest the same.. I believe we could trade down and still get our intended targets.

This is what I like about your picks.

Still: his leadership

Minnifield: bloodlines

Lewis: played hard even after his team gained a big leads. I hope he is still there in the 4th. If he is gone, maybe Nigel Bardham from Fl. St.

Broyles: We would not need him right away, we just need weapons down the line when Smitty slows. This would be a steal.

I think still has been grossly overrated, I like the idea of the trade down to grab another safety preferably Markelle Martin. I have a weird vibe from Travis Lewis but I really like the acho pick

That is funny. I like the Lewis pick and have a weird vibe about the Acho pick.

I do like your trade down idea.

Mark Barron isn't a FS.

He's a run support SS and a poor man's Charles Godfrey.

You guys would do good to do your own research and stop googling walterfootball's top prospects and converting that int a mock draft.

Wish everybody would shut up about him.

In fact, I think the whole draft forum would do good to hear this message.

    • Bryce has been playing the best ball of his career the last three games IMO. He wasn't the reason we dropped the game in NOLA. Seattle's defense will be his toughest challenge yet this season
    • I'll be at the game Sunday and up until last year I had a perfect attendance record. Now however I have seen us lose to the Chiefs (last year) and the Bills (this year). So we can no longer rely solely on my ability to pound overpriced beers to propel us to a win.
    • I haven't been able to watch Seattle on a dedicated basis but the Seahawks are a much better team by the all accounts: eye test, record and DVOA. Defensively they are sick. Best DVOA in the league first in rushing and second in passing. Offensively their passing game has been on fire this year led by JSN I can easily see this being like the Buffalo game where things just get out of hand for us early, that being said this league really is week to week and Seattle does have the disadvantage of traveling cross country for an early game.  If and big if, the Panthers are able to effectively run the ball and limit the amount of time Seattle's offense has to generate explosive plays we have a path to winning this game.  Seattle fans won't be happy to hear this but bad Darnold is always lurking in the background. He is truly an enigma to root for bc he will have an incredible throw that only a few people can make but then will turn around and throw the most bone headed pick of all time.  I think ultimately we drop this one as ultimately it's human nature to be looking forward to that week 18 game. But man how special would it be to be leaving the stadium on Sunday with a win and a miracle dolphins upset
